How to get started in Guardian Games with the Best in Class quest

Generally, any special event in Destiny 2 begins with a visit to Eva Levante in the Tower, and the Guardian Games are no exception. It will be in the middle of the main courtyard, near the large carpeted stairs.

Once you talk to Eva, she will offer you the Best in Class quest. The steps for this search are:

  • Use the Glimmer that Eva gave you to pick up a card.
  • Earn medallions by completing activities with your class item equipped! Complete a Supremacy match or an activity from the Guardian Games playlist to earn your first medallion!
  • Talk to Eva Levante in the tower courtyard.
  • Place your medallion on the Guardian Games podium in the Tower Courtyard.
  • Claim your first event challenge, which you can access in the Mission tab.
  • Talk to Zavala in the Tower Courtyard.
  • Talk to Shaxx in the Tower.
  • Return to Eva in the Tower.

This questline serves as a basic tutorial for the Guardian Games and at the end grants Hullabaloo, a new grenade launcher exclusive to the Games.

How to earn and deposit medals in Guardian Games in Destiny 2

There are two main methods to earn medallions. First, you can complete activities while using a Guardian Games class item. Eva Levante offers a special Guardian Games themed version of Hunter Cloak, Warlock Bond and Titan Mark. Complete activities while wearing one of these medals.

The second option is to purchase and complete Eva Levante’s Contender and Platinum cards. These function as rewards and offer random goals of specific activity types. Completing the objective and collecting the card will award a Gold (for Contender Cards) or Platinum (for Platinum Cards) medallion.

How the focus activity works in Destiny 2

There is a third option to earn medals. This year, the Guardian Games will be a rotating focus activity. Every few hours, an activity will be the focus, and by choosing that activity from one of Guardian Games’ playlists, the class you used will commit to the cause. Any points you earn by completing that activity will be added to your team’s total. The subclass that has the most points at the end (two or three hours, depending on whether it is a weekday or weekend), will be the winner.

Anyone who pledges to the winning team will receive a Champions Pack, which contains a large number of medallions.

How to Complete the Shoot to Score Missions and Compete for Supremacy in Destiny 2

Please note that both have a time limit; Once you get a Platinum score for the week, you’ll need to wait for the next reset to progress.
