Fortnite – Summit Mountain Peak locations explained

Finding locations on mountain peaks is one of Fortnite’s many weekly challenges.

Completing it will give you additional XP to help you earn many Season 3 rewards. Please note that you will need to have a Battle Pass in order to take on this challenge.

If you’re just getting started, our Fortnite Battle Royale tips and tricks can give you some helpful hints.

Please note that this particular challenge can no longer be completed. What’s new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection, and Eren Jaeger skin. It’s a good idea to know how to get XP quickly in Fortnite.

How searching for different mountain peaks works

For the week 6 challenges, you have the following task:

  • Summit different mountain peaks (10 in total, 5 battle stars)

Another on the list includes searching through a metal bridge, three billboards and a crashed bus.

If you’re familiar with Fortnite, you’ll know that there are several mountains you can climb on the map. If you reach the top of 10 of these peaks, you will complete the challenge.

The way the game visualizes these specific spikes is with a white ‘hologram’ of a flag. Get close enough and a flag with your emblem will be planted, confirming that you have visited this peak.

Before…

…and then.

Since most mountains are inaccessible from the ground (unless you have enough building materials), you’ll realistically have to mark them every time you land for the first time in a match. As such, it may take many attempts before completing the challenge.

As with other challenges, you must complete them while playing matches (you cannot enter the map without other players), so you will have to avoid combat encounters while trying to find each location.

Keep in mind that you must complete the game in order to finish the challenge; abandoning the game as soon as you collect it will not work.

Summit Mountain Peak locations in Fortnite

Although you need to find ten locations, fortunately there are many more on the map.

Although you probably can guess The highest mountains from Battlebus, unlike bullseye locations, are difficult to spot from a distance.

This is why a map is useful. The following diagram in progress by thomp2345__78 on the Fortnite subreddit shows some locations found so far:

And if you want to do it quickly, there is a group on the west side of the map that you can chain back to back to help you complete it faster. ChemBozz on the Fortnite subreddit explains how it works:

Between the two images above, that should be enough to complete the challenge. Best of luck!
