Finding Captain Sickle is your first task in the Crisis at Hyrule Castle quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

You will unlock the Crisis at Hyrule Castle quest automatically after you have completed Into the Kingdom of Hyrule. While you can’t complete this quest right away, we recommend playing this opening act to unlock features, such as Paragliding, before you begin exploring Hyrule.

Where to find Sickle in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Your first task in the Hyrule Castle Crisis main quest from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is to meet Sickle, the captain leading the search party for Princess Zelda. He is currently in Hyrule Castle, so leave Lookout Landing and head through the ruins of Hyrule Castle Town until you reach the castle gates.

You can head straight from where Purah is located to Hyrule Castle.

Along the way, you will be able to collect more weapons and, if you wish, complete the Kyononis Shrine challenge.

At the castle gates, you will quickly realize that the doors are too big to open. Instead, you’ll have to jump down the side of the walkway next to the doors and around them.

Once you’re on the other side, you can talk to Raseno to find out that Hoz is at the first entrance gate to the castle. To find this entrance door you simply have to follow the path until you reach the building.

When you reach the front door, go inside and then climb one of the walls to reach the first balcony. From there, you must continue climbing the outer walls until you reach the next level of the entrance door where you will find Sickle.

Go up to the front door to find Hoz.

Talk to Sickle and sit down to enjoy the next scene.

Now it’s time to head back to Lookout Landing where you’ll get the paraglider! If you’d like to learn more about Link’s adventure through Hyrule, visit our Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom walkthrough.
