Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Blood Moon Effects

So what is the Blood Moon doing in Tears of the Kingdom? Well, it basically respawns every enemy in the world, so you can fight them again for their resources. This does not include story bosses, such as those in Temples.

Be careful when you are close to midnight, especially if you are in enemy camps, as once the Blood Moon arrives, enemies will appear around you, even if you just killed them.

Can you force Blood Moons to occur in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?

No, you cannot force a Blood Moon to occur in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Skipping time in Campfires, for example, will not advance your progress toward the next Blood Moon. You must play three game days from the last one.

Because of this, there’s not really an easy way to tell when a Blood Moon might arrive on any given day, so be ready when the in-game clock starts approaching 11 p.m. and keep an eye out for red energy trails that appear. in the air around you.

Zelda Blood Moon Cooking Bonus

There’s actually one good thing about Blood Moons: they give you a bonus for your cooking. Every time you cook a meal, there is a critical small chance of getting an excellent meal with improved bonuses.

During a blood moon, between 11:30 and 12:30, this chance increases to 100%. Healing effects, stat bonuses, and the duration of those bonuses gained from ingredients will be maximized in the resulting dish. Use this as an opportunity to make even more use of your resources.
