Diablo 4 Walkthrough Maintaining ancient traditions

If you are looking to complete all the side quests in the Dry Steppes region, you need to go to the Untamed Scarps area and collect the ‘Lone Offering’ to start the Keeping the Old Traditions quest in Diablo 4.

Dry Steppes is the desert area west of Fractured Peaks and the city of Kyovashad. If you place a marker on the map location we have below, you can follow the line on your minimap to find the Solitary Offering easily.

When you collect the Solitary Offering, an area marked in blue will appear on your map. Head north to this blue area to find a praying statue carved into an outside wall, in a place called Valley of the Stray. You can check the text in the upper right corner of the screen, next to your minimap, to see the name of any area you are in if there is a problem tracking a mission.

To complete the Keeping Ancient Traditions quests in Diablo 4, you must use the ‘Yes’ emote while standing in front of the statue in the Valley of the Stray area of the Dry Steppes.

If this isn’t one of your default emotes, open the action wheel by pressing ‘E’ on PC, or up on the d-pad if you’re playing with a controller. Then press the ‘Customize’ button shown below the action wheel.

Go to the “Emotes” section and then scroll down until you find “Yes.” Click on it and assign it to a slot on the emote wheel.

All you have to do now is open the gesture wheel again and click the “Yes” gesture. A hidden chest will emerge from the ground and you must open it to complete the mission completely.

For completing Keeping the Old Traditions you get:

  • Renown of the dry steppes
  • experience
  • Gold
  • Weak Crushing Elixir
  • Elixir of Weak Acrobatics

I hope you have fun completing side quests in Diablo 4!
