Titled the Battle of Verdansk, this event takes place entirely in Warzone during Season 5, providing a world-first look at the next entry in the series, which is set in the World War II era.

When is the Vanguard event in Warzone? Call of Duty: Vanguard UK end date / BST, CEST, EDT and PDT explained
The Call of Duty: Vanguard release date is Thursday, August 19.
The start times are as follows:
- UK: 6:30 pm (BST)
- Europe: 7:30 p.m. (CEST)
- US East Coast: 1:30 pm (EDT)
- US West Coast: 10:30 am (PDT)
The Battle of Verdansk will be available until Monday, August 23.
The final times are as follows:
- UK: 6pm (BST)
- Europe: 7:00 p.m. (CEST)
- US East Coast: 1:00 p.m. EDT
- US West Coast: 10 am (PDT)
This reveal will take place within Warzone as an in-game event under the premise of the Battle of Verdansk.
As is usual with seasonal releases, be prepared for release times to change in case there are last-minute changes or hiccups on the part of the developer.
Battle of Verdansk walkthrough: How the Battle of Verdansk event works in Warzone
The Battle of Verdansk is the title of the Warzone event where the reveal of Call of Duty: Vanguard takes place.

The event starts as a separate playlist in Warzone. A total of 32 players (eight squads), all facing off in the same lobby, and the match is completely PvE (yes, before the game even starts).
From here the first step is simple: all the squads must go to the same place and prepare the ambush for the arriving armored train. This is done by planting TNT at the location marked on the map.
Once all groups have finished doing this, a countdown will indicate when the vehicle is about to appear.
The objective is simple: the 32 players must join forces to take down the armored train at all costs, destroying the turrets of each of the cars and simultaneously damaging the cars themselves on specific occasions.
By default, you’re given an assault rifle and a rocket launcher (you can revive indefinitely and the loadout will change each time), but there are different explosives and other weapons, such as light machine guns and grenade launchers, to loot.
Of course, we’re talking about a moving train, which means there will be plenty of vehicle options for you to accompany. You’ll likely see other players flying helicopters or driving trucks, so always keep an eye out for these opportunities to fill any available seats.
Note that the train will attack with its turrets. For a few moments in the match, he will also start firing explosive rounds, which can be quite deadly even if you are fully armored. Don’t worry though, as you’ll respawn in a few seconds and there’s no real penalty.
It’s worth noting that the squad’s total damage will affect the number of rewards you get, so it’s best to concentrate fire as early as possible to maximize time.
The train will gradually begin to lose turrets, as well as cars (you can always see their current status on a graph at the top of the screen). At some point, after all the cars have been destroyed, the locomotive will be destroyed.
During the final push, the train will begin to move slower than before, to the point of becoming immobilized in front of a gas station. There, everyone can hit it with everything they have until it explodes.
Congratulations! You have completed the Battle of Verdansk. But there is one more step.
Suddenly bombs will start falling from the sky and it’s time to run away. You can’t use any vehicles at this point, so be prepared to run towards the marked location. (In our experience, the sprint button sometimes stopped working during the match; although it may have just been a temporary bug, it’s worth keeping in mind.)
From here, it is indifferent whether or not you reach the marked place, since the mission will end in the same way. That said, if you manage to sign to exfiltrate, you’ll get an additional reward (which you can see in the next section).

These are mainly unlocked by damaging the armored train. The total amount is distributed among the team, as well as the rewards, so it is best to organize the group so that everyone is always shooting at the target.

- Dogfight (Epic Sticker): 45,000 total damage to squad
- Calendar (Epic Watch): 60,000 total damage to squad
- Warring Sides (Epic Emblem): 75,000 total squad damage
- Siberian Walker (Epic Motorcycle Skin): 100,000 total squad damage
- Warbound (Legendary Calling Card): 135,000 total squad damage
- Little Shark (Epic Charm): Expulsion signal at the end of the Battle of Verdansk
- Dark Forest (Legendary Light Machine Gun Bravo Blueprint): Finish the Battle of Verdansk
Remember that you can repeat the event as many times as you want before the end date, giving you multiple opportunities to unlock all of the above rewards.
