Popplio IV stats 100% perfect in Pokémon Go
This week’s Featured Hour is a great opportunity to catch a Popplio with perfect IV stats.

“Perfect” means two things in Pokémon Go, depending on how you plan to use a given Pokémon. First, there’s the max build, 100% IV, which is the 15/15/15 you’re looking for for your 4* Pokédex, Raids, and Master League. However, because of how CP is calculated using three stats, a perfect Pokémon IV is usually just the best version of itself in the Master League.
Of course, you can’t see a Pokémon’s IV without catching it first, but with a little research beforehand, you can quickly spot a perfect Popplio based on CP alone.
If you’re at level 30 (or higher), you’ll ideally be looking for the following CPs for a perfect 15/15/15 Popplio:
The wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach level 30, and since the majority of the player base is now above this level, we’ve kept these values for the sake of simplicity. However, these values will be different if you are currently below level 30.
The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! Its first event is A Paldean Adventure, which sees the true launch of Gen 9 and the special research mission A Paldean Adventure. You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
Is Primary good at PvP?
Primarina is perfectly reasonable in Master League, but fails in other parts of Go Battle League.

The advantage of running Primarina is, of course, its fairy writing, which is a huge help in the Dragon Master League.
In the lower two leagues, this Pokémon runs Charm, Moonblast, and Psychic, but swaps Psychic for Hydro Pump in Master League. This simply allows you to hit a little harder with STAB when you need to.
There are three Water/Fairy Pokémon in Great League: Azumarill, which is excellent, Tapu Fini, which is pretty decent, and Primarina. Don’t run Primarina in the Big League.
Ultra League changes things up slightly, but only to the extent that Azumarill is horrible and Tapu Fini becomes one of the best water types with a fairy-flavored bonus. Mind you, he’s still not very good: he loses pretty quickly to Talonflame, which should say a lot.
Master League is the only place where Primarina is actually a decent option, and it’s very close to Tapu Fini, so if you can’t find a Fini and were hoping to run one, this is an option. The difference is that Tapu Fini runs Water Gun, Surf, and Moonblast, while Primarina runs Charm, Moonblast, and Hydro Pump, which is arguably better.
Here we have a slow Pokémon that applies decent pressure from fast moves, especially against Dragons in the meta. Dragonite, Zekrom (ouch), Gyarados, Garchomp, and Dialga all fall to the Solo Pokémon, so if you need a Dragon specialist, Primarina isn’t a bad option. The flip side is that you’ve lost very quickly with some of the other meta options: Lugia, Zacian, Mewtwo, Giratina, and Swampert. So, if you know how to pick your battles, Primarina can be a good option.
Is there a shiny Popplio in Pokémon Go?
No, like the other starter Pokémon of this generation, which we saw last week and the week before, there is no shiny Popplio in Pokémon Go!

Hopefully, Popplio will have a Community Day and its shiny version will be released into the wild, but with new shiny Starters seen in early 2023, it’s a safe assumption that we won’t see shiny Popplio in Pokémon Go anytime in 2023 . .
What does the shiny Popplio look like?
As you can see, the Popplio shiny is a subtle shiny. Shiny Popplio simply takes on a slightly darker shade of blue, while changing his collar from light blue to white. Her evolution, Brionne, changes from blue to purple, but it’s Primarina who really tries! Shiny Primarina changes green hair to blonde and blue ruffles to pink.
