October is here and the spookiest month of the year has brought a whole new host of bugs, fish and sea creatures to our islands in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
If you manage to catch all the fish, bugs, and sea creatures, you will not only complete two of the Museum’s exhibits, but you will also unlock two Golden Tools DIY recipes.
On this page you can find every creature that arrives and leaves your island, because while Critterpedia may contain the details of every creature you capture, it will only do so after you capture them, which is a bit annoying if you’re having trouble finding hunt certain specimens.
Just like September and November roll around, there are a variety of new creatures to hunt in October, from the bottom of the sea to the rivers of your island, so make sure you don’t miss a thing!

New Animal Crossing bugs, fish and sea creatures coming in October
At the beginning of each month in New Horizons, a new collection of insects, fish, and sea creatures arrive on your island.
Catching these new creatures will help you complete the museum exhibits, the Critterpedia, and get you closer to unlocking the golden fishing rod and net homebrew recipes, so it’s always worth knowing what the new creatures are.
You will find most of the October arrivals at the bottom of the sea.
It should be noted that the following only applies to the northern hemisphere.

For something new to arrive, something old must always go and the creatures of New Horizons follow this principle. Because of this, you’ll want to make sure you don’t miss anything near the end of each month or you could be waiting quite a while.
It’s a good idea to focus on the creatures that leave your island at the beginning of the month, as this will take the pressure off of catching them.
