The Call of Duty: Vanguard beta will be playable for several weekends leading up to launch.
Following the PS4-exclusive Vanguard alpha from late last month, the beta will feature more multiplayer modes, maps, and operators.

When does the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta end? Call of Duty: Vanguard beta end date on PS4, Xbox One and PC
UPDATE (September 20): Publisher Activision has announced that the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta end date is now Wednesday, September 22, two days later than originally planned, at the following end times:
- UK: 6pm (BST)
- Europe: 7:00 p.m. (CEST)
- US East Coast: 1:00 p.m. EDT
- US West Coast: 10 am (PDT)
ORIGINAL REPORT: The Call of Duty: Vanguard beta will be available for two weekends: the first exclusively for PS4 and the second for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Of course, this also applies to current-gen consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series S and Series X). The dates are as follows:
Vanguard Beta First Weekend Dates (PS4 Only):
- Friday, September 10 to Monday, September 13: Early Access on PS4 (Beta Access Required)
Vanguard Second Beta Weekend Dates (PS4, Xbox One, and PC):
- Thursday, September 16 to Friday, September 17: Open Beta on PS4 (free for PS4 players), Early Access on Xbox + PC (beta access required)

Additionally, Vanguard’s second beta weekend will feature cross-play between all three platforms on the corresponding dates.

The Black Ops Cold War beta preload began on Tuesday, September 7 for PS4/PS5 owners following the multiplayer reveal stream at the following start times:

Call of Duty: Vanguard beta access explained
As was the case during the Black Ops Cold War beta, pre-ordering any edition, either digitally or through select retailers, will grant you access to the Vanguard beta on Thursday and Friday before the open beta begins this weekend. . What does the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta include?
The Vanguard beta focuses entirely on multiplayer, with several modes and features confirmed that were not available in the alpha, which focused entirely on Champion Hill. At a glance, here’s what you can expect:
