Ledyba 100% perfect IV stats, shiny Ledyba in Pokémon Go

Players will soon have the chance to get a shiny Ledyba in Pokémon Go. It’s probably the main reason you’ll want to participate in this week’s Spotlight Hour.

There are plenty of other reasons to look forward to the Pokémon Go event. You will be given the opportunity to capture as many Ledyba as you can, with the chance to capture a Ledyba with 100% perfect IV stats.

Ledyba’s Spotlight Hour falls on a fairly quiet day in Pokémon Go. However, it’s just before this year’s Pokémon Go anniversary celebration, which will have plenty for trainers to do that week.

Ledyba 100% perfect IV stats in Pokémon Go

This week’s Featured Hour is a great opportunity to catch a Ledyba with perfect IV stats.

Once you’ve captured a Ledyba with 100% IV stats, you’ll have the option to turn it into a Ledian with perfect stats. While they don’t have much influence in Go Battle League, they can be useful when fighting Team Go Rocket Grunts or in raids.

The CP values that correspond to perfect values of 15/15/15 are as follows:

  • Level 30 (Max Wild CP) – 624 CP
  • Level 35 (maximum CP boosted by weather) – 676 CP

The wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach level 30, and since the majority of the player base is now above this level, we’ve kept these values for the sake of simplicity. However, these values will be different if you are currently below level 30.

Is there a shiny Ledyba in Pokémon Go?

Good news: there is a shiny Ledyba in Pokémon Go.

Shiny Ledyba, along with the shiny version of its Ledian evolution, Ledyba was released as part of the Mega Battle Challenge on September 11, 2020.

If luck is on your side, you can find a Shiny Ledian in the wild, but if not, you can get one by evolving a Shiny Ledyba using 25 Ledyba Sweets.

Remember: Care Hours only increase the number of Ledyba that appear in the wild, not their glow rate. This means that unlike Community Day, Ledyba’s shiny rate will not increase during this event.

The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

What does the shiny Ledyba look like?

As you can see in the image below, shiny Ledyba has a yellow/golden cover. This same look is then applied to its evolution.

Other reasons to catch as many Ledyba as possible

Aside from the chance to catch a shiny Ledyba in Pokémon Go, there are other reasons to participate in this week’s Spotlight:

  • The bonus of this Featured Hour is the double capture of Candy, which means you will be rewarded for each Pokémon you catch. Along with Ledyba, it could be a good excuse to prepare a Mystery Box to catch more Meltan candy.
  • If you’re a newcomer, this Featured Hour is the perfect time to collect enough Ledyba candy for this Pokémon to fully evolve into Ledian.
  • Thanks to Ledyba being a Bug type, catching many during this Featured Hour will add progress to your Bug medal. It’s also a Flying type, so you’ll also be working towards your Flying medal.

Spotlight Hour events only last one hour, from 6pm to 7pm (local time), but don’t worry if you can’t participate in this week’s event. Next week, Machop will be in the spotlight on July 12, with the very useful double capture bonus.
