While Jigglypuff’s final evolution, Wigglytuff, is not the strongest Pokémon in Pokémon Go, it holds a special place in the hearts of many players thanks to the anime. So if you’re still missing a perfect shiny or 4* Pokémon, here’s your chance to try to find one, while also grinding out the Candy and Candy XL you’ll need to max out your Pokémon for competitive play.

Jigglypuff IV Stats 100% Perfect in Pokémon Go
This week’s Spotlight is a great opportunity to catch a Jigglypuff with perfect IV stats.

“Perfect” means two things in Pokémon Go, depending on how you plan to use a given Pokémon. First, there’s the max build, 100% IV, which is the 15/15/15 you’re looking for for your 4* Pokédex, Raids, and Master League. However, because of how CP is calculated using three stats, a perfect Pokémon IV is usually just the best version of itself in the Master League.
Of course, you can’t see a Pokémon’s IV without catching it first, but with a little prior research, you can quickly spot a perfect Jigglypuff based on CP alone.
If you’re at level 30 (or higher), you’ll ideally be looking for the following CPs for a perfect 15/15/15 Jigglypuff:
The wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach level 30, and since the majority of the player base is now above this level, we’ve kept these values for the sake of simplicity. However, these values will be different if you are currently below level 30.
The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! Its first event is A Paldean Adventure, which sees the true launch of Gen 9 and the special research mission A Paldean Adventure. You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
Is Wigglytuff good at PvP?
Wigglytuff is perfectly reasonable, but he’s far from great in Go Battle League.

The advantage of running Wigglytuff is that it is only weak to Poison and Steel, while being resistant to both Ghost and Dark, which is important in the lower leagues. He also has access to Charm, which beats a fast move even after being weakened.
No matter what your cup or league is, this Pokémon performs Charm, Ice Beam, and Play Rough as its second charged move. This means that you are dealing a lot of damage with fast moves, but you are quite slow when it comes to performing your charged moves and therefore don’t apply much pressure to your opponent’s shields.
This creates an interesting list of matchups. The Big League is probably his best performance, with some impressive wins against Sableye, Altaria, Scrafty, Trevenant and Medicham. However, you will lose to Galarian Stunfisk, Lanturn, Noctowl, Azumarill, and Swampert, which is quite unfortunate.
Meanwhile, Ultra League demands a perfect Wigglytuff maxed out at 15/15/15, which only hits CP 2178. That’s an incredible amount of resources for a Pokémon that doesn’t get the most bang for your buck. Your victories here are very similar: all Dark or Ghost type. Meanwhile, the losses span the entire rainbow, including Talonflame, Cresellia, Muk, Walrein, and Swampert, showing just how exposed Wigglytuff is outside of the Great League.
With this in mind, it is clear that Wigglytuff is not suitable for the Master League.

Jigglypuff’s shiny form was released in April 2019, as part of the Eggstravaganza event, when players were encouraged to try to create a shiny Igglybuff, Jigglypuff’s pre-evolved form.
If luck is on your side, you might find a shiny Jigglypuff in the wild, but keep in mind that this is not a Community Day and shiny rates don’t increase, so the chances of catching one, and much less a perfect one, they are very low. . What does the shiny Jigglypuff look like?

Besides trying to catch a shiny Jigglypuff in Pokémon Go, there are a couple of other good reasons to participate in this week’s Spotlight:
- The best reason is, of course, the double catch XP bonus that runs throughout the hour. This applies to all captured Pokémon, so try your best to get good at the excellent curveball throws on a Jigglypuff to rack up XP quickly.
- If you’re a newcomer, this Featured Hour is the perfect time to collect enough Jigglypuff candy to fully evolve this Pokémon and enter all of its evolutions into the Pokédex.
- Thanks to Jigglypuff being a Normal/Fairy type, catching a bunch during this Featured Hour will add progress to your respective catch bonus medals.
