Armor is a crucial part of life in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom; there are several different types that you can find as you explore Hyrule and help out various residents you meet along the way. Each piece of ghost armor has a base stat of eight, with plenty of potential to upgrade it to even higher levels.

Ghost Armor Set
The ghost armor in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is made up of three separate pieces: a helmet, a chest piece, and greaves.
- Ghost Helmet: Base stat of eight and increases attack.
- Ghost Armor: Base stat of eight and increases attack.
- Ghost Greaves: Base stat of eight and increases attack.
Unlike other pieces of armor in Tears of the Kingdom, it appears that the Phantom Armor set cannot be upgraded at a Great Fairy Fountain. However, all three pieces combined will give Link a great armor stat of 24 and significantly increase his attack power.
Fortunately, all three pieces can be found in the southern half of Hyrule, meaning you’ll only need to travel a little light to get them all.
How to get the Ghost Greaves in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To find the Ghost Greaves in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you need to find the Ancient Altar Ruins in the Gerudo Desert. Fast travel to Siwakama Shrine if you have it; if not, these are the coordinates of Siwakama Shrine (-2445, -3342, 0041).
Before you get there, make sure you’re wearing heat-resistant armor or at least have a meal or two that increases Link’s heat resistance. It is very hot in this area during the day.
When you get to the Shrine, look out over the Gerudo Desert and you should see a bunch of holes in the ground. These are quicksand holes that will suck Link into the Ancient Altar Ruins, but there is a specific sinkhole you need to go to.
Once you reach the sinkhole formation, you need to head to the hole at (-2525, -3703, 0010). We have also highlighted the right circle on the map below:
When you reach the correct sinkhole, dive into it and let it swallow Link. You will then spawn in a small room with sand dripping from the ceiling.
Once you’re in this room, look around and you should see the chest is on a slightly raised ledge. All you need to do is go up there and open the chest to collect the Ghost Greaves.
How to get the ghost helmet in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
The Ghost Helmet in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be found in a cave at Puffer Beach in southern Faron. To find the helmet piece, head over to Puffer Beach. You can fast travel to Utushok Shrine near Highland Stable to get closer if you wish, we have also marked the location of Puffer Beach on the map below:
Once you get to Puffer Beach, head to these coordinates (0286, -3849, 0004) and look up. You should see that there is an opening in the rock above you that leads to a raised cave.
To get here, you can grab one of the discarded Zonai rockets against some rocks at (0259, -3875, 0001). Fuse one of the rockets with your shield and return to the entrance of the elevated cave.
Equip your shield and take it up to the cave. Once you land here, there will be a black Horriblin and a Horrblin waiting for you. We recommend removing them as they can be painful when trying to open the chest.
After dealing with the Horriblins, head through the small opening at the back of the cave that leads to another cave room and look to the right. You should see a chest here. Open the chest to collect the ghost helmet.
How to get the Ghost Armor in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Now, we’ve saved the Ghost Armor chest piece for last, as it’s the hardest to find of the three pieces. To find the Ghost Armor in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you need to head to the tip of the Tamio River. This is east of the Ruvara Cliffs, southwest of Rutile Lake, and north of Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower.
We have marked the location of the tip of the Tamio River on the following map:
Head to the head of the river and when you get there, look for the entrance to the cave downstream of the Tamio River. The coordinates for the entrance to the cave downstream of the Tamio River are (-2912, -0795, 0010).
Before heading to the cave, we recommend activating each and every Sage you have so far. If you don’t have any, we strongly recommend that you research at least two regional phenomena first. However, it is possible to get through this cave with just a lot of supplies, food, elixirs, and arrows.
When you’re ready, head to the cave downstream of the Tamio River. In the first room, some Horriblins are crawling on the ceiling, but you can completely ignore them if you want. Continue through the cave, making sure to stay on the left side.
Follow the path on the left side of this cave until you reach the beginning of the next room. You should see the chest location in front of you, but don’t drop. There are Gloom Hands below you and they make getting to the chest very difficult.
You can try to avoid the Gloom Hands, but we found it easier (surprisingly) to learn how to defeat the Gloom Hands and then defeat Phantom Ganon, who appears after that. Once you’ve managed to do this, follow the path on the floor to the other side of the cave behind the chest location.
Here you should see a wall blocked by rocks.
Destroy the rocks using a hammer or the Sage skill, then go up the newly revealed ramp to collect the Phantom Armor in the chest at the top.
You now have the complete Phantom Armor set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, congratulations! Now, you could make Link even more intimidating by learning how to find Ganon’s giant horse. Alternatively, if you want to search for a different armor set, you can always learn how to find the Zora armor as well.
