In recent days, official Fortnite announcements have been appearing on social media, and a full cinematic trailer was recently released at Summer Games Fest.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 Release Time
When Epic Games released an official trailer for the new season on Twitter, they confirmed that Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 will launch on Friday, June 9.
At the time of writing, we do not know the official release time of the new season update. However, a recent tweet from @FortniteState has confirmed that they have already started turning off matchmaking to prepare for the launch of the new season today.
We are starting to disable matchmaking in preparation for version 25.00. #FortniteWILDS update, and server downtime will start soon.

What to expect in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3
It’s release day for the next season of Fortnite, and along with the social media hints that have been popping up, we now have official confirmation of everything we can do in Fortnite Wilds.
Season name
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 is officially called ‘Fortnite Wilds’, which gives a big nod to some of the leaks and rumors we’ve heard so far about the possible map setup for this season.
Theme/Scenario
Half of the Fortnite map will look very different this season. The reason? The entire central part of the map has collapsed to reveal a thick, lush and sometimes muddy jungle, full of ancient things to discover.
The grinding rails in this area are made from tree vines, meaning you can live out your Tarzan fantasy as you slide down the thick ropes to escape or ambush your enemies. Also, if you want to quickly slip or escape from the pursuit of your enemies, you can visit the muddy parts of the jungle.

Do you need high ground? So now you can ascend to the treetops of the new jungle environment and take out your enemies one by one from up there. If you have a hard time seeing them, you can always rely on the new Thermal DMR – this weapon makes it impossible for enemies to hide.
New trip
Need a quick escape through the jungle but don’t have the energy to run? Then you can always ride a Raptor! These prehistoric creatures can be tamed and ridden if you find them. However, you can always hatch your little prehistoric friend by finding a raptor egg.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 will feature a Transformers collaboration, though it’s not yet clear how big the collaboration will be. So far, we know that the following Transformers items will be available:
- Optimus Prime Skin – Battle Pass.
- Optimus Primal Skin – Item Shop.
- Cybertron Cannon: new weapon.

As we’re just at the start of the new season, we’re hoping to see more Transformers-themed items appearing on the map and in the battle pass, perhaps even a themed event? Only time will tell.

New weapons
What would Fortnite be without weapons? Honestly, it’s probably interesting, but the heart and soul of battle royale is struggling to find a weapon before an enemy gets there first.
There are five new weapons you’ll be able to get once Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 launches today, and one of them is part of the Transformers Collaboration. Here’s a quick list of the new weapons:

There are even more new weapons in the form of… flowers? There are exploding flowers, stink flowers and slurping flowers to be found in the new jungle environment and can be used to slow down enemies or give you that little boost you need to get ahead.
Also, a flower is called a hop flower and you can use it to jump. The best part is? There is no risk of fall damage if you use them!
Job boards
Reward boards will look a little different this season, as they will now be in the form of job boards. These new boards will offer three types of jobs, including rewards, so interact with one when you find one and take your pick.
New and recurring raises
There are a handful of new and returning boosts for Fortnite Wilds; Here’s a quick list of everything arriving and returning in the new season.

- Medium Ammo Acquired: Instantly obtain Medium ammo and more every time you open a chest.
- Shotgun Fast Reload: Shotguns reload faster.
- Reckless Rifle Reloading: Assault rifles reload faster when you empty a magazine.
- Sprint Lines: Use lifts, Grind Vines, Ziplines and Grind Rails for a Slap effect.
- Shell Slide: You get shotgun shells when you slide.
- Primal Companion: When you ride an animal, you gain thermal vision and gain health.
- Wildwasp Weaponry: You get some Wildwasp Flasks and every time you kill you get another Flask.
