Resident Evil 4 wrench location for Overwrite Terminal

You have to find the Wrench in Resident Evil 4 to open the Overwrite Terminal and get the Level 3 Keycard in Chapter 13.

It’s easy to get stuck on this task, as the file detailing the location of the key can lead you astray.

To help you open that Overwrite Terminal and get the Level 3 Keycard, we’ve detailed the location of the key in Resident Evil 4 below.

Please note that this is a guide for the remake of Resident Evil 4, so the solution or puzzle may not be the same in the original version.

Resident Evil 4 Wrench Location

We spent an embarrassingly long time searching for the key, as we completely forgot about the file next to the Overwrite Terminal. We were more concerned about our fancy new Biosensor Scope next door.

Then, when we remember the file, we misinterpret it and kill the walking Regenerators, wasting ammo on top of our lost time.

To save yourself a lot of trouble, you’ll locate the key in the Incubation Laboratory, the room next to the Overwrite Terminal. To get the key, you need to use your Biosensor Scope on the regenerators in the tubes.

Our key was in the Regenerator in the northwest corner of the room.

Go to the incubation lab and use your biosensor scope to see which regenerator has the key inside.

Our Resident Evil 4 walkthrough can help you through the village with guides on the Big and Little Cave Shrine puzzle solutions, the Church dial puzzle, and the Del Lago, El Gigante, and Mendez bosses. When you reach the castle, you’ll need to tackle the correct timing puzzles of the Treasure Sword, the Four Slotted Wall, the Dining Room Bell, and the Grandfather Clock, along with the Garrador Dungeon, Two Giants, and Ramon Salazar’s bosses. The island is next, and there are still puzzles with calibration puzzles, keycard locations, and a hidden wrench, along with final bosses Krauser and Sadler.

To get the key from the Regenerator, you must kill him by destroying all the parasites inside his body. Use the Biosensor Scope on a weapon that supports it, then shoot the yellow parasites while aiming the scope at the Regenerator.

Once she’s dead, the key will drop as loot and you can use it at the Overwrite Terminal to finally get the level 3 keycard, but be careful! It takes a while to process and the room will be packed with enemies.

We recommend running in circles around the room until the keycard is ready, to save your ammo, then use the keycard at the southwest exit to return to Facility 1 Storage, where you can now free Ashley.
