The Quarry is all about making decisions, as any one of them can result in the untimely death of a character, so it’s a good idea to know the right decisions needed to save everyone.
While there are many different endings you can get for the nine main characters in The Quarry, getting the best ending where everyone lives will allow you to see the most story in your game while also unlocking the ‘Rough’ trophy. Night’.

It’s important to note that even if you make all the right dialogue decisions and follow the safest paths, you can still die from an ill-timed QTE (Quick Time Event). If you enable ‘Simple QTEs’ in the options menu, this won’t be a problem; however, completing each QTE closes some available paths and may result in the death of some side characters.
You only need Laura, Jacob, Abigail, Dylan, Ryan, Emma, Nick, Kaitlyn and Max to survive to get the ‘Rough Night’ trophy, but if you want to make sure no one dies in The Quarry except for a few inevitable deaths, you’ll have to do the QTEs yourself.
Choose carefully.
You can choose different options than those highlighted below and still have everyone survive the night, as there are many different decisions that only add slight variations to the story. We’ll highlight the important decisions you need to make to ensure a main character survives, but if you want to ensure no one dies, make sure you choose all of the paths mentioned below.

No one can die in Chapter 5 if you’ve made all the right decisions to save everyone in The Quarry so far, but Dylan can get infected if you don’t cut off his arm, which can cause Kaitlyn to get infected later.

You will only play as Laura in Chapter 7 and your goal should be to continue building a good relationship with the sheriff. There are many ways to die in Chapter 10, but if you’ve followed the important options above, it will be much easier to save everyone in The Quarry. Max has to stay on the island or he will die instantly, while Kaitlyn must grab the silver bullets to shoot the creature when she enters the lodge. If you run to the kitchen, she can still survive if you use the teddy bear you picked up earlier as Abigail.
