Solgaleo and Lunala are Legendary Pokémon from Generation 7, which debuted in Pokémon Go during the Season of Light.

How to evolve Cosmoem into Solgaleo in Pokémon Go
To evolve Cosmoem into Solgaleo in Pokémon Go, you will need 100 Cosmog Candy and you will evolve during the day.
Solgaleo is a psychic and steel type Pokémon.
As of this writing, the only way to earn Cosmog candy is by reaching Step 8 of the special research quest A Cosmic Companion, Rare Candy or by having Cosmog or Cosmoem as your friend.
However, even if you have enough candy for both evolutions, you only have one Cosmoem, so make sure Solgaleo is the Pokémon you want to add to your Pokédex.
When it comes to meeting the time requirement, it’s important to remember that the time in Pokémon Go matches your current time zone. This means that if it’s currently daytime where you are, it will also be daytime in Pokémon Go, and if it’s a sunny day, the map will be a vibrant green.
Cosmoem’s evolution button should also reflect this by displaying a small silhouette of Solgaleo.
How to evolve Cosmoem into Lunala in Pokémon Go
To evolve Cosmoem into Lunala you need 100 Cosmog Candy and it’s nighttime in Pokémon Go.
Lunala is a psychic and ghost type Pokémon.
As of this writing, the easiest way to earn enough candy for this evolution is to reach Step 8 in the A Cosmic Companion special research mission. You can earn additional Cosmog candy by using Rare Candy and having it as your friend.
However, even if you have 200 Cosmog Candies, you currently only have one Cosmoem in Pokémon Go, so consider converting it into Lunala carefully.
In terms of meeting the time of day requirement, simply wait for night to fall, both in reality and in Pokémon Go. The time in Pokémon Go matches your current time zone, so if it’s nighttime in your location, that’s how it will be in the game, and the map will turn a nice dark blue.
Cosmoem’s evolution button should also show a small silhouette of Lunala.

Neither Solgaleo nor Lunala excel in raids because their movesets prevent them from taking full advantage of their dual types. Solgaleo’s Metal Claw lacks the power to nullify Metagross’ Meteor Mash, and while Lunala fares slightly better, she also needs a stronger moveset to outperform the other Pokémon of her type.
It’s a similar story in Go Battle League: Solgaleo is an interesting option for both Ultra and Master League, but that poor moveset once again holds it back. Meanwhile, Lunala currently doesn’t have the moveset to have any weight in Leagues. He has the potential to become a good option in the future if he gains moves like Psyshock, but there is no guarantee that this will happen.
For this reason, we recommend making Cosmoem the legendary of your choice.
