How to Fast Travel in Forspoken

How to Fast Travel in Forspoken

Fast Travel on Forspoken is the easiest (and fastest) way to get around Athia quickly. There’s a lot to explore throughout the game and Fast Travel is by far the easiest way to jump between the different areas you’ve discovered.

It can be particularly useful if you know a certain area has an item you want or if you want to recover after a major battle. That’s why we’ll show you how to fast travel in Forspoken, how to unlock it, and we’ll also explain what pilgrim shelters are.

In this page:

Check out 7 things you need to know about Forspoken.

How to Unlock Fast Travel in Forspoken

To unlock Fast Travel in Forspoken, you will need to have found your way out of Cipal during ‘Frey’s Journey: His Father’s Findings’ and find a Pilgrim’s Shelter.

Once you exit Cipal and jump over the wall next to your first Fountain of Blessing (follow the main quest marker for this), you’ll see a small building on your left. This is his first Pilgrims’ Refuge. This takes place approximately four hours after the main story.

Now that you’ve found one, you need to activate it if you want to use Fast Travel. To activate the Pilgrims Shelter you must walk inside it. You must do this for each Shelter you find. If you don’t do this, the Shelter will not appear on your map and you will not be able to use it for fast travel.

Other ways to fast travel in Forspoken

Once you’ve found your first Pilgrim’s Shelter, you’ll be able to fast travel to certain settlements and points on the map. That said, pilgrim shelters are the safest places to fast travel if you need to heal, craft, or upgrade your gear.

Settlements

A good early example of how to fast travel to a settlement is Cipal. If you head to the foreground map and hover over the icon in the middle of Cipal, you’ll be prompted to fast travel to it. Use the given command and you will instantly end up at that location.

bell towers

You may have also come across towering Gold Towers while traveling through Athia. These are Belfry Towers and you must “discover” them to use them as a fast travel destination. They are extremely useful to visit because they also give you additional information for your map.

To discover a bell tower in Forspoken, you must walk to the center of the Tower and scan the area with Cuff. You should notice that your map has suddenly gained numerous new points of interest in the area. Additionally, if you hover over the Belfry marker on the map, the prompt to use Fast Travel should appear.

Forspoken has arrived and we have boss strategies to help you defeat Tanta Sila, Tanta Prav, Senseless Savant and the final boss. However, before taking on these bosses, you may want to learn how to craft, upgrade your equipment, and find all the Blessing Fountains. Meanwhile, understanding fast travel and clearing monuments will also help you on Fray’s journey through Athia.

What are pilgrim shelters in Forspoken?

Pilgrim shelters are small buildings that are similar in structure to churches and provide Frey (and Cuff) with a safe area to rest.

Inside a Shelter, Frey can rest in bed to restore his health to full capacity. This is useful if she wants to keep her Healing Erases for her travel time.

Additionally, vaults often contain crafting benches for all your crafting and upgrading needs.

Forgotten, Frey is standing in front of a crafting bench inside a Shelter.

Note: It is worth taking your time to look around a Vault, you can often find Healing Drafts and notes which also provide additional context for life in Athia.
