Paimon’s Starlight Expedition is the current web event in Genshin Impact where you must answer questions correctly to earn Primogems.
There are 17 questions, but luckily you only need to answer five correctly to earn x40 Primogems as a reward. Answering more will complete a small sticker challenge, allowing you to see some unique chibi drawings of some characters.

Paimon’s Starlight Expedition web event from Genshin Impact explained
For Paimon’s Starlight Expedition web event, you need to listen to the short music clip, then select which character it is associated with from the drop-down box in the upper left corner, and then click “Send Reply.”
Don’t worry if you can’t remember whose music is playing, as there are also visual clues to help you. The most important clue is what color the question mark is written in. Yellow means you have to choose one of the Geo characters, while light blue means it’s a Cryo character’s song and dark blue is for Hydro users.
Small journal images can also help, which may represent ascension materials from a character’s region, or things closely associated with them. For example, a picture of Onikabuto was included in the diary when Itto was the correct answer, there was a fox instead when Yae Miko was correct, and there was a die and a star shell for Yelan.
Once you have answered five of the 17 questions correctly, you can click on the ‘Starlight Notes’ tab in the bottom right corner of the screen to share your results and get a redeem code for x40 Primogems. You don’t actually need to share the post, just click on a platform to start sharing.
You can continue playing to see some cute character stickers or reset the web event if you want to play again. You will not get any other rewards for answering more than five questions.
You have until January 18 to play the Starlight Expedition web event and get your code, but you have until January 25 to redeem it.
