Chorizo is, apart from the antagonist Antón Castillo and the hero Dani Rojas, probably the most recognizable character in Far Cry 6.
The adorable dog is visible almost at the beginning of the game, where you tell him how to unlock it in the friends menu. Of course, learning the name of the place and knowing where to go are two different things.

Far Cry 6 Chorizo Location: Where to Find Chorizo in Far Cry 6
It’s no secret where Chorizo can be found in Far Cry 6, as soon as you unlock your first friend you’ll learn that you can unlock him by petting him “at Montero Farm in Mogote Foothills.”
You must first move away from the initial island of Sanctuary Island. From there, you have three paths to follow (our where to go first Far Cry 6 map page can help you with this). One of them, on the west side, is Meet the Monteros, and it is this quest line that you need to start getting to know Chorizo.
Fortunately, in this initial mission you will meet Chorizo almost immediately. To get there, head west from the boat base, heading west around the coast, until you reach the quest marker a little inland.
After meeting Philly and Chorizo on the landing pad, head east to the mission marker for the second part of the mission.
This involves you exploring the plantation, and after meeting up with Espada and escaping, you’ll reach Montero Farm.
It is here that you can pet Chorizo and start recruiting him as a friend.

Where to find crocodile meat and recruit chorizo in Far Cry 6
When you’re ready, pet Chorizo to start the game Who’s a Good Boy? mission.
Read the note on the board afterwards to learn that you need to find some crocodile meat, with Serpentino Park being your best option.
If you look south on the map, find the Cortina River area, and inside there should be a Yaran Crocodile Hunting Spot icon. If for some reason it is not displayed, it is found here:
Here, you’ll soon encounter some crocodiles (or in our case, a group of three that ambushed us and our horse, RIP). We managed to get the crocodile meat after a surprise attack and subsequent button mashing to escape, but we figured using melee or old-fashioned bullets should work too.
Once this is done, return to the Chorizo and give him the meat.
Immediately, ‘Fetch Quest’ will begin. This quest is pretty simple: just follow Chorizo and he will show you the locations of the buried and locked treasures that you can now access. The loot is pretty good, including a selection of rare meats, a mystery key, and some resolution material.
Then, once you’ve opened Chorizo’s Tag Charm at the end, he’ll become your friend.
For stealthy players, Chorizo will be useful: its main ability distracts enemies so that you can then engage in surprise attacks.
As with other friends, the more they are used, the more abilities become available, so be sure to pay close attention to Chorizo to get the most out of him. Enjoy!
