Destiny 2 Revision Zero god roll and drop location

Revision Zero is an exotic pulse rifle in Destiny 2 that was added during the Season of the Seraphim.

This kinetic weapon accumulates target data from repeated critical hits, which can be converted into a huge amount of additional damage over a short time. It is also a necessary weapon to destroy Security Drones and complete the Good Boy Protocol mission.

This page will detail how to get Revision Zero in Destiny 2, how to unlock Revision Zero catalysts, and which Revision Zero divine roll you should aim for.

How to Get Review Zero in Destiny 2

Revision Zero is a very simple weapon to unlock. Start by progressing through the More Than a Weapon quest line. Finally, you will be tasked with completing the mission Operation: Seraph’s Shield. Complete this quest and you will receive your first Zero Review and the exotic quest The Hidden Shape.

The goal of Hidden Shape is to unlock Revision Zero for crafting, allowing you to craft and customize the weapon as needed. These are the steps of this quest line:

  • Complete operation: Seraphim Shield.
  • Talk to Clovis in the Exo Frame in HELM
  • Complete the arrival mission.*
  • Talk to Ikora Rey in Mars Enclave and complete the mission Shaping: Extraction.*
  • Talk to Ikora Rey in Mars Enclave and complete the quest Shaping: Resonant Alloys.*
  • Zero form review.

Once The Hidden Shape is finished, Revision Zero can be created. You will also unlock four missions, each of which will reward a different catalyst upon completion.

*If these quests or quests were previously completed, that progress will count.

The Season of the Depths is here along with the Into the Depths quest. You can also know how to go fishing! Don’t forget to keep an eye on the Lost Sector and King’s Fall challenge rotation schedule!

How to Unlock Destiny 2 Zero Revision Catalysts

The Zero Revision is unusual among exotic weapons in possessing four different potential catalysts. Each has a separate quest line, called Should You Choose to Accept It? Parts I-IV. Each mission rewards a different catalyst, and each one you complete improves Hunter’s Trace, Zero Check’s intrinsic damage.

Catalyst’s four missions are almost identical. We recommend progressing through all four missions until step 5, which allows you to complete the last steps of each simultaneously.

These are the steps to complete each mission if you decide to accept it:

Compile a crypto index

There are four crypto indexes in total to locate. Two come from a terminal at the end of the Operation Archimedes mission, two from a terminal at the end of Operation Diocles.

Travel to a specific destination

This will take you to Europa, the Cosmodrome, the EDZ and the Moon. Simply fly towards each one to complete this step.

Defeat enemies and complete patrols.

At each of the destinations listed above, simply eliminate enemies and complete patrols. You will gain 1% progress for kills and 5% progress for patrols.

Locate dead drops

Deadlocks are encrypted at the end of Lost Sectors. Enter and complete K1 Logistics (Moon), Perdition (Europe), Terminus East (EDZ), and Exodus Garden 2A (Cosmodrome), and look for Häkke’s hologram after each boss. Caution: Ciphers explode shortly after being activated.

Start Operation Seraph Shield on Legend difficulty and find the weapon schematic

  • For this step, you will search for four dead Exos scattered throughout Operation: Seraph’s Shield. They are usually found along the normal path throughout the mission, but are easy to miss.
  • The first Exo is near the exit door of the trap room. After activating each terminal to disable the trap, you can interact with the dead Exo by leaving the room.
  • The following is shortly after finding the first Operator increase. Clear the room with the two screamers and enter the vent that allows you to trigger a switch. The Exo is on a side path inside this vent.
  • The third Exo is in the large room with the stack of explosive barrels in the center (the rally flag will indicate this is the correct location). As soon as you enter the room, turn right and look for a door on your right.
  • The last Exo is found immediately after escaping from prison. Enter the hallway with all the Braytech frames fighting the Fallen and search the rooms on the right side. The last dead Exo will be here.

Complete Operation: Seraphim Shield

Now that you have found all the Exo dead, you must fight the final boss and upload a virus to the final terminal to complete Operation: Seraph’s Shield.

Visit a weapons expert to analyze the catalysts.

Once you have all four catalysts, visit Banshee-44 in the tower. He will comment on his new toys and complete the final step if you decide to accept him.

Zero Review God Roll Recommendation in Destiny 2

Revision Zero is a pulse rifle that requires precision hits to activate its damage increasing perk.

A Zero patch ‘god roll’ makes precision hits easier, rewards Guardians for doing so, and adds an extra kick to each shot to stun enemies.

Here’s our recommended Zero Check divine roll in Destiny 2:

  • Arrowhead breakage
  • Composite actions
  • perpetual motion
  • High caliber rounds
  • The fourth time is the charm

Arrowhead Break is a common choice for God rolls for good reason. This improves handling quite a bit and forces the recoil into an extremely predictable vertical pattern, extremely useful if you want to maintain accuracy while shooting continuously.

The composite material offers a small boost to both stability and handling. Revision Zero needs a bit of both, so this gets a nod to a bigger buff for either stat individually.

Perpetual Motion is designed to increase stability, handling and reload speed if you continually move. Revision Zero excels as an out-of-coverage weapon, where footwork is used to line up shots and avoid damage at medium to longer ranges. As such, Perpetual Motion is almost always active and works well with Arrowhead Break and Composite Stock to make this a very easy weapon to shoot.

High caliber bullets have the important function of surprising enemies. This is useful in PvE, where it often prevents enemies from shooting at you, and in PvP, where it can ruin an opposing Guardian’s accuracy.

Of the four Catalyst-based buffs, Fourth Time’s the Charm stands out for working synergistically with how Revision Zero is used. This weapon is meant to rack up quick critical hits. The fourth time’s the charm returns two rounds to the magazine if four consecutive critical hits are scored. With this equipped, deadly and accurate shots can continue for extended periods without reloading, dealing damage and accumulating targeting data. It’s an ideal perk for this weapon build.

As usual, once you have your preferred roll, be sure to upgrade it to Masterwork to give it a stat boost, the ability to spawn orbs on multiple kills, and add the option for a kill tracker.
