A new season brings new coins to collect and the decrypted data will be recurring on your travels. Unlike Ether, which can only be obtained by defeating enemies in numerous activities, this one is a little more elusive and requires you to complete certain tasks.

Destiny 2 Decrypted Data Sources in Detail
Path of the Splicer is a questline tied to new seasonal activities and features, like the Splicer Gauntlet and HELM, so you’ll likely progress through the story without even realizing it. That said, if you pay close attention to the requirements of each mission step, you may be rewarded with decrypted data as you progress.
In the meantime, there are multiple seasonal challenges to face. These will be expanded weekly until the season ends and will expire at the end of the season, so there’s no rush to complete them upon their debut.
The first week has two challenges that reward 150 Decrypted Data each, for a total of 300; ‘Hello, World’ tasks you with completing Path of the Splicer I, as well as defeating Poderoso Cabal, and ‘Maximum Override’, on the other hand, tasks you with completing five Override missions and depositing Data Spikes during them .

Once you and the team take down the boss, you’ll notice a second chest next to the regular boss. Use the keycode by simply interacting with it and the loot will be yours.
Finally, the fourth method is simpler. Reaching Ranks 2, 12, and 32 of the Season Pass will reward you with Decrypted Data Trove, which grants a minimum of 100 decrypted data.
Note: Bungie said at launch that it is possible to acquire these in a full inventory, so make sure you have free space so you don’t lose them.
