How to find and upgrade summons in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Summons are unlocked through Chadley Combat Simulator. At each settlement in the game, like Nibelheim or Junon, you’ll find Chadley set up and ready to take his fancy VR rig for a spin. It is here that you will fight against the summons and you will have to defeat them in the simulator in order to unlock them.

However, not all summons are available immediately. Titan is unlocked once you reach Kalm, while Phoenix is available when you reach Under Junon, Alexander will be available when you reach the Sunshine Coast, Kujata is available in the Gongaga region, while Bahamut Arisen is unlocked when you reach Cosmo Canyon. , and finally Odin will be available when you reach Nibelheim.

Every summon fight in Chadley Combat Simulator is an incredibly tough battle, but you can disable the summons. In each region, there are three Summon Shrines, which you can find and activate to turn off the Summon for the fight and upgrade their corresponding Materia once you’ve unlocked them.

Summon roles in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

The role of a summon is best dictated by the type of opponent you are facing. For example, if you are fighting a frozen enemy, we recommend using Bahamut Arisen or Ifrit’s fierce attacks against them.

Likewise, facing a boss is an important factor. Titan and Kujata’s attacks can deal massive damage to a boss, while Odin, Moogle, and Chocobo excel at dealing pure damage to an enemy.

The only exception here is Phoenix, which is great for healing your party, rather than dealing damage to an enemy. If you’re facing a boss or enemy that’s tougher than you or your party in pure level scaling, you’ll want to put Phoenix to work.

Good luck collecting all the summons in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth!
