Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is finally here and has added new crafting resources for players to collect.
Master Rank is now an option in Monster Hunter Rise, meaning that large and small monsters will now be tougher and drop rarer resources when defeated. There is also new equipment to craft, which requires high-quality resources like prized hides.
You will find information on how to get prized skins in this guide. We will explain the two little monsters that release them and recommend the best farming strategy so that you get the most out of each expedition. Let’s go hunting!

Monster Hunter Rise: Location of the precious Sunbreak skin
To get the prized skin in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, you’ll need to hunt down Kelbi or Anteka in Master Rank quests. The best way to do this is to go on a master rank expedition. You’ll have more time to hunt and won’t need to hunt larger monsters unless you want to.
Now let’s talk about the best way to maximize the number of precious pelts you’ll get on an expedition. The Kelbi has a much higher drop rate, so we recommend prioritizing your hunt over the Anteka. The Kelbi are found in the Sanctuary Ruins area. If you look at the map below, the best places to find Kelbi are 11, 12 and 13, in the highest area.
Kelbi are small goat-like creatures with blue fur. They are very fast, so use ranged weapons or the kunai to take them down. Each Kelbi you kill has a 30% drop rate of precious pelts, as explained in the table below:
Just be sure to carve any Kelbi you kill and you’ll slowly accumulate precious pelts.

Precious uses of skin
Prized Pelt is a new Master Rank resource introduced as part of the Sunbreak expansion. It is used to craft armor pieces such as Khezu Coil X and Volvidon Mail X. It is used in a wide range of recipes, so it is worth farming when you get the chance.
