Shiny Eevee and best Eevee moveset recommendations in Pokémon Go

Eevee is the focus of August 2021 Community Day in Pokémon Go, where the highly adaptable Pokémon will increase their appearances for an entire weekend.

Why two whole days? This is because there are a handful of Eevee evolutions to unlock, allowing you to not only complete a number of Pokédex entries, but also track down the shiny version of the featured Pokémon. Can you get a brilliant insight into each individual evolution over time?

Once you’ve captured the best Eevee you can, you’ll most likely want to evolve them and make sure they know the best move set available. Again, there are many options, but we will try to help you decide which one to choose.

Below you can find a preview of the shiny Eevee and the best Eevee moveset, so you can decide what to do with all those Eevee evolutions.

Eevee Moves Explained and Best Moveset Recommendation in Pokémon Go

There are several Eevee evolutions available, each with their respective move sets to suit their type.

To keep it simple, we’ve included our recommendations in a table below, along with the various exclusive Community Day moves available during the event:

Pokemon Community Day Movement Recommended fast movement Recommended loading movement
Eevee Last resource * Fast attack Last resource
vaporeon Scald Water gun Water Pump
Jolteon discharge cannon volt switch Discharge

Espeon ball of darkness Confusion Psychic

leafeon bullet seed Razor blade Leaf blade or sun ray.
Glaceon water pulse Ice Shard avalanche
Sylveon Psychoshock Charm dazzling shine

* The last resort will be available to all Eevees caught or hatched during the event.

Eevee on its own is not a very competitive Pokémon (there are much better normal types), but you should know that, like the starter Pokémon that often frequent Community Day events, the evolutions are usually very competitive in their respective types. and they have a good budget. -Friendly options to complete your teams.

However, as seen in the table above, unlike most Community Days, the event’s exclusive move is not the best for every evolution. However, if you change your mind after the event and want to try one of the unique moves, remember that Elite Charged TM will allow you to select it later.

The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! The Detective Pikachu Returns event is currently underway. You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

What does the shiny Eevee look like in Pokémon Go?

Community Days in Pokémon Go are, due to the increased spawn rate, the perfect opportunity to hunt down the shiny version of a Pokémon.

You’re much more likely to find a shiny version of the featured Pokémon at your Community Day, not only because the shiny rate will be higher, but catching more of the same type also increases the chance of finding one.

It’s easy to tell when you’ve found a shiny Pokémon because the encounter will start with a burst of stars, a “shiny” icon will appear next to its name, and its color will be different.

Shiny Eevee is not new to the game; We’ve had an Eevee Community Day before, back in August 2018, so chances are you’ve already seen them on your travels, or even gotten some shiny ones. But here’s a preview of all the shiny Eevees you can collect:

If you want to evolve a shiny Eevee and use that evolution for competitive reasons, we recommend waiting until the end of Community Day to ensure you have one with the best IVs. You find out which Eevee is best by searching your Pokémon collection using 3* and 4*.

Don’t forget: you have until 10am PDT / 6pm BST (UK) on Monday to win the exclusive move through Evolution. After that, you will have to use an Elite Charged TM.

Ultimately, Community Days are the perfect opportunities to collect enough candy to fully evolve a Pokémon and power it up properly. With careful planning, both in terms of Pokémon selection and moveset, you can use this event to add some truly powerful Pokémon to your collection.
