How to get to Artazon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

If you haven’t yet unlocked the two Pokémon Centers near the city, the easiest way to get to Artazon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is to leave Mesagoza through the east gate and follow the road east until you reach the city.

If you’re getting lost, set Artazon as a destination on your map to ensure it appears as a waypoint on your minimap. Once you’re there, you’ll find the gym to the right of the ranch marked with Sunflora statues outside. You will first need to go to this ranch to begin your challenge at the Artazon Gym before facing Brassius.

Sunflora Locations for the Hide and Seek Challenge in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

The first step to defeating Gym Leader Brassius in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is to complete Artazon’s Gym Test, which is the Sunflora Hideout Challenge.

To participate in this test, you must talk to the staff member outside the ranch, who has a golden snack on him. You will then be tasked with locating 10 Sunflora around Artazon and then bringing them back to the ranch.

The Artazon Gym Test has no time limit, but to speed things up, we have 10 Sunflora locations below:

Sunflora Location 1, 2 and 3

The first three Sunflora are right behind you. Turn around after talking to the Grass Gym staff and interact with each of the Pokémon to have them follow you.

Sunflora 4 Location

Take the path to the left of the gym to see the Sunflora room next to a lantern. He’ll run away as you get closer to him, so chase him down and then interact with Sunflora to start a battle.

Here’s how to beat Sunflora:

Pokemon Level Guy Weaknesses
solar flora 14 Grass Insect, Fire, Flying, Poison and Ice

Location of Sunflora 5

Another Sunflora can be found next to the pond to the right side of the maze entrance.

Sunflora 6 Location

The sixth Sunflora is located on the path behind the pond.

Location of Sunflora 7

The next Sunflora is located between four stone works of art located to the right of the pond.

Location of Sunflora 8

This Sunflora is located on top of a flower pot right next to a fake Sunflora, which is next to a man sitting on a bench, on the path to the left of the maze entrance.

Location of Sunflora 9

This Sunflora is on top of a flower pot outside a building on the west side of Artazon, in the shopping area near the Pokémon Center.

Location of Sunflora 10

The last Sunflora is located under the children’s play area behind the pool, which is located to the right of the ranch.

Once you’ve found all 10 Sunflora in Artazon for the Hide and Seek Challenge, return them to the ranch staff and take the time to prepare for the upcoming battle with Gym Leader Brassius.

How to beat Grass Gym Leader Brassius in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Brassius, Artazon’s gym leader, loves Grass-type Pokémon and his team reflects that.

Grass-type Pokémon are weak to Flying, Poison, Bug, Fire, and Ice-type Pokémon.

This means that you will easily defeat Brassius if you choose Fuecoco as your starting Pokémon. If you didn’t, then it’s worth catching a Fletching: this fire- and flying-type Pokémon can easily be found in the lands north and northeast of Cortondo, in places like Grand Olive Orchard.

Feathered places.

Remember, like all Gym Leaders, Brassius will Terastalize his last Pokémon, so even if it isn’t a Grass-type at first, it will become one.

Brassius’ Pokémon team is:

Pokemon Level Guy Weaknesses
Petili sixteen Grass Insect, Fire, Flying, Poison and Ice
Smoliv sixteen Grass Normal insect, fire, fight, flight, poison and ice.
sudowoodo 17 RockTerra Type: Grass Fighting, Grass, Earth, Steel and Water Terra Type: Bug, Fire, Flying, Poison and Ice

For defeating Brassius, you will receive 3,060 prize money, TM020 Trailblaze, and a Gym Badge. Increasing the level cap so that Pokémon listen to you and are easier to catch will depend on where you are in the Victory Road story.

Also, depending on where you are in Victory Road, you may have a battle with Nemona after defeating Brassius.

Who will you face next on Victory Road? Will it be Katy, Kofu, Iono, Larry, Ryme, Tulip or Grusha? Or maybe you’re ready to fight the Elite Four and Top Champion, or continue the stories of Path of Legends and Starfall Street.
