New to Season of Heritage are monthly seasonal bonuses and timed research.
In December, you will see double Stardust for the first daily capture and it will give you a series of quest steps to complete by collecting Stardust. Once you’ve reached the end, you’ll receive an exclusive avatar item.

Steps and rewards of the Stardust Challenge mission in Pokémon Go
Below you will find all the requirements and rewards for the December Stardust Challenge in Pokémon Go.
A Deino Hat Avatar item will be the maximum reward for completing all 15 steps.
This section contains spoilers for the entire mission, so if you want to be surprised, we recommend you skip it.
In addition to the rewards below for each of the 15 steps, you will also receive a small amount of XP for each one completed.
At the end is the main reward, a Deino Hat Avatar item.
If you don’t complete the steps below before the end of the month, it will be available for purchase in the in-game store.

However, playing daily should give you enough Stardust to unlock the following, so play regularly and you should do so in plenty of time!

The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
Stardust Challenge dates and bonuses in Pokémon Go
The Stardust Challenge will introduce a bonus throughout December 2021: double Stardust for your first catch of the day.
This bonus, and the quest steps and rewards above, will run throughout December and will end on December 31, 2021 at 11:59 pm local time.

Then, in January and February, there will be more challenges, themed around collecting XP and catching Pokémon, respectively. Unlike the December challenge, both require a prior purchase of the Tour: Johto ticket to access.
