Spring into Spring Field Research Tasks in Pokémon Go

You may get an event-exclusive Field Research task when you spin a PokéStop during the Spring through Spring 2023 event in Pokémon Go.

We recommend completing research tasks during the event, as the Pokémon encounters you earn can help you complete the Spring into Spring Collection Challenge. You can still save these field research tasks and complete them after the event ends if you wish.

These are the Spring into Spring field research tasks:

  • Reward for hatching an egg: encounter with Cherry Blossom Eevee or Cherry Blossom Pikachu
  • Reward for hatching 2 eggs: Flower Crown Togetic encounter
  • Reward for hatching 4 eggs: Flower Crown Chansey encounter

Everything you need to know about the Spring into Spring event in Pokémon Go

There are three egg-themed bonuses throughout the Spring into Spring event in Pokémon Go until it ends on Monday, April 10 at 8 pm (local time).

The first advantage is that any eggs you place in an incubator during the event will have their hatching distance halved, which is great for any 12km eggs you collect during the spring. You will also receive double hatching candy for each egg.

Lucky Eggs will also last for one hour during the Spring into Spring event, giving you a great opportunity to collect extra XP!

The Spring into Spring event in 2023 will also see the release of Cutiefly and Ribombee from Gen 7 in Pokémon Go. Since we don’t know Cutiefly’s spawn rates after this event ends, we highly recommend getting Cutiefly and turning it into Ribombee during this event.

Cutiefly and Ribombee.

This year’s Spring into Spring also sees the release of 12 new costumed Pokémon. The new costume in question is a set of two cherry blossoms, which look nothing like flower crowns, atop a Pokémon’s head.

All Pokémon in the Pikachu and Eevee evolution line have been given this new costume, so if you evolve a Cherry Blossom Eevee, you will gain one of the Eeveelutions with these Cherry Blossoms. The shiny forms of these new costumed Pokémon will also be released as part of the event, meaning if you catch a shiny Pikachu Cherry Blossom, you can turn it into a shiny Raichu Cherry Blossom.

Bunnelby.

During the Spring into Spring event, the following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild:

  • Cherry Blossom Pikachu
  • Jigglypuff
  • Chansey Flower Crown
  • cherry blossom eevee
  • Togetic flower crown
  • Marill
  • Whismur
  • flower wreath funeral
  • Bunnelby
  • Cutiefly

Any 2km eggs you collect during the Spring into Spring event will have the following set of eggs:

Riolú.

  • cherry blossom eevee
  • azurill
  • Munchlax
  • Cutiefly

Level 2

  • cherry blossom pichu
  • Togepi flower crown
  • happy flower crown

Level 3

Considering the hatch distance bonus that applies throughout this Pokémon Go event, these 2 km eggs give you a great opportunity to find Pokémon disguised as a baby or, if you haven’t added it to your Pokédex yet, a Rilou.

The following Pokémon will also appear in raids during the Spring into Spring event:

A star Three stars Five stars Mega
Cherry Blossom Pikachu Exeggutor lugia mega lopunny
Jigglypuff Alolan Exeggutor
cherry blossom eevee Chansey Flower Crown
Cutiefly Togetic flower crown

Finally, you can now purchase a Happiny Hoodie from the in-game Pokémon Go Avatar Shop.

I hope you enjoy the return of the Spring into Spring event!
