Pokémon Go Searching for Gold field research tasks

Searching for Gold is a mini-event themed around the golden PokéStops in Pokémon Go.

It gives you a great opportunity to collect Gimmighoul Coins, which you need to get a Gholdengo in Pokémon Go. For this reason, it is worth going out during the Searching for Gold event.

There is also a selection of Gold Search field research tasks that you can collect and complete during the event.

Everything we know about the search for gold in Pokémon Go

The main draw of the Gold Hunt event in Pokémon Go is how, during the hours of the event, certain PokéStops will turn gold without the use of a Gold Lure Module. Spinning these golden PokéStops can lead you to collect Gimmighoul Coins, which you need to turn a Gimmighoul into a Gholdengo.

It’s important to note, however, that the roaming form Gimmighoul will not appear around these golden PokéStops. If you want to catch one of these Pokémon, you must use the Coin Bag or place a Golden Lure Module at a PokéStop.

Aside from this bonus, the following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild during the Digging for Gold event:

  • weedle
  • bell bud
  • licking
  • azumaril
  • poochena
  • buizel
  • eardrum
  • shelter
  • Stuffed

Finally, you can purchase a paid Timed Research Mission from the in-game Pokémon Go store for $1.00 or the equivalent price in your local currency. This mission will challenge you to complete a selection of field research tasks and in return you will earn encounters with Caterpie, Magikarp, Nosepass, Sableye and Barboach.

However, it is important to note that this quest must be completed before the event ends on Saturday, June 3 at 5 pm (local time) or else it will expire.

The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! He has brought the Timed Investigation: Master Ball quest, which offers you the chance to win another Master Ball. There’s also a new season of Go Battle League to participate in. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete Routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

Explanation of the date and times of Pokémon Go in search of gold
