Nidoran Male 100% perfect IV stats, shiny Nidoran Male in Pokémon Go

This week’s Spotlight is the perfect opportunity to capture a perfect Nidoran male in Pokémon Go.

While it doesn’t see much use in Pokémon Go, as it’s pretty horrible in both Go Battle League and raids, it’s a great opportunity to hunt down the elusive 100% IV male Nidoran.

As usual, catching as many Pokémon as possible is the plan for this week’s Spotlight, although the main attraction really is the opportunity to maximize the double candy transfer bonus that runs alongside the event.

Nidoran Male IV Stats 100% perfect in Pokémon Go

This week’s Featured Hour is a great opportunity to catch a Nidoran male with perfect IV stats.

“Perfect,” of course, means two things in Pokémon Go. First, there’s the max build, 100% IV, which is the 15/15/15 you’re looking for for your 4* Pokédex, Raids, and Master League. However, because of how CP is calculated using these three stats, a perfect Pokémon IV is usually just the best version of itself in Master League, raids, and Go Rocket battles.

In this case, a perfect Nidoking in Great League has a maximum CP of 1498 at level 22, with an IV 14/0/15.

Of course, you can’t see a Pokémon’s IV without catching it first, so it’s helpful to know the CPs at which a perfect Nidoran male will spawn.

If you’re at level 30 (or higher), you’ll ideally be looking for the following CPs for a perfect 15/15/15 Nidoran male:

  • Level 30 (Max Wild CP) – 699 CP
  • Level 35 (Weather-Boosted Wild Max CP – 757 CP
  • The wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach level 30, and since the majority of the player base is now above this level, we’ve kept these values for the sake of simplicity. However, these values will be different if you are currently below level 30.

    Is Nidoking good at PvP?

    No. No, it’s not.

However, this doesn’t mean it will never be good. Every Pokémon in Pokémon Go is always just one move upgrade away from being meta relevant.

But right now, Nidoking is pretty awful: in the Great League, he’s outclassed by both Nidoqueen and, to add insult to injury, Nidorina. That said, Nidoking can still defeat Azumarill and Alolan Ninetails, with Registeel, Medicham, and Bastiodon giving it a fair fight. Use it if he really wants to, but there are much better options.

In Great League, Nidoking uses Poison Jab as its fast move, with Sand Tomb and Earth Power as charged moves. Not only is this worse than Nidoqueen, which runs Poison Fang instead of Sand Tomb, but Nidoking also has worse stats overall.

If you want a perfect Go Battle League IV Nidoking, in hopes of it becoming meta-relevant at a later date, you should look for a 0/14/15 Male Nidoran for Great League and a 0/14/14 Male Nidoran . for the Ultraleague.

Lastly, we have the Master League. If Nidoqueen struggles in this meta, you know that Nidoking doesn’t even get a shout out here.

The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! The Psychic Spectular event is back! You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

Is there a shiny male Nidoran in Pokémon Go?

Good news: there is a shiny male Nidoran in Pokémon Go and there has been for a long time!

Nidoran Male’s brilliant form was released as part of Go Fest Dortmund in 2019; If you catch one, you can turn it into a shiny Nidorino and eventually a shiny Nidoking.

If luck is on your side, you may find a shiny male Nidoran in the wild, but keep in mind that this is not a Community Day and shine rates do not increase, so the chances of catching one, let alone a perfect one, they are very high. low. That said, every Nidoran you see has the potential to be brilliant, so it’s purely a numbers game: play each and every one of them and see what you get. Good luck finding the Nidoran you need!

What does the shiny Nidoran Male look like?

Like Nidoran Female, Brilliant Nidoran Male changes the color palette on his head, taking the female’s blue in favor of his usual pink.

Other Things You Should Know About Nidoran Male Care Hour

Spotlight Hour always comes with a bonus you can take advantage of, and this week it’s a double transfer sweet treat. As always, this runs throughout the hour and affects more than just the Pokémon in the spotlight.

The smartest way to maximize the bonus here is to have a Tag in your Pokémon storage just for this purpose. We recommend creating one called ‘Transfer’, where you can place the Pokémon you don’t want or need. Instead of transferring them as you catch them, hold them for events like these, when you can transfer them in bulk. All those candies add up very quickly and are especially useful when transferring something like a Mewtwo to get double the candies!

It’s also good to note that, thanks to Nidoran Male being a poison type, catching a bunch during this Focus Hour will add progress to your poison type capture bonus medal.

Spotlight Hour events only last one hour, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm (local time). Don’t worry if you can’t participate in this week’s event. Next week, Pidove will be in the spotlight on August 30, with a very useful double evolution XP bonus.
