How to get The Immortal in Destiny 2
The Immortal is a weapon from the Trials of Osiris. The only way to have a chance with this weapon is to participate in Destiny 2’s most competitive player versus player game mode.
Trials of Osiris is only available on weekends. It starts at 5pm (GMT) on Friday night and ends on Tuesday at 5pm (GMT). Visit Saint-14 in the Hanger to acquire a Trials passage, then open the Crucible playlist in the Director to start this activity.
Competing in Trials of Osiris and ranking up with Saint-14 will give you Trials engrams and increase your Trials rank. Save the engrams and focus on the range at first. As your rank increases, you will receive special rewards every two levels. The Immortal is offered as a reward once you reach Rank 10.
Once you’ve gotten your first The Immoral, it will be unlocked for focused decoding. This is the best way to farm The Immortal. Simply visit Saint-14 with a Trial Engram in your possession, pay 20,000 sparkles from him, and 25 legendaries.
Saint will also offer Pinnacle Gear for completing certain objectives during a Trials of Osiris weekend. Complete his tasks and visit him to earn a Trials item, possibly including The Immortal.
The Season of the Depths is here along with the Into the Depths quest. You can also know how to go fishing! Don’t forget to keep an eye on the rotation schedule for the Lost Sector and King’s Fall challenges!
The Immortal God Roll Recommendation in Destiny 2
The Immortal deals incredibly fast damage and has an exceptionally short kill time in skilled hands. An ideal drop from this SMG, or ‘god scroll’, further enhances this damage, while focusing on extending the weapon’s somewhat limited range.
Here’s our recommended Undying God roll in Destiny 2:
- Corkscrew fluting
- bounce rounds
- Target locked
Corkscrew Rifling is a great barrel for a submachine gun. This increases range, so you can hit farther, stability, so you can hit easier, and handling, so you can set up and aim faster. This all adds up to make The Immortal a very easy weapon to use.
Ricochet rounds are one of the best perks for an SMG, and The Immortal is no exception. Bullets will bounce off hard surfaces, which is a useful trick in a gunfight, and this advantage further improves range and stability.
The aptly named Rangefinder has a simple and important function: to make weapons more effective at long ranges. SMGs historically underperform as distances to targets increase, which has a dramatic effect on the Immortal’s effectiveness in more situations, making this perk an easy choice.
Target Lock increases damage the longer your weapon stays on a target. For a weapon like The Immortal, which is more or less a hose that fires bullets at your enemies, this trait is easy to activate and greatly enhances how lethal this weapon can be.
As usual, once you have your preferred roll, be sure to upgrade it to Masterwork to give it a stat boost, the ability to spawn orbs on multiple kills, and add the option for a kill tracker.
