Monster Hunter World Ores are one of the many components you will need to build weapons and armor pieces for your Hunter and Palico.
However, there are a variety of types: Fucium Ore, Dragonite Ore, and Lightcrystal, and it is not immediately clear which areas or activities they come from.

What are Monster Hunter World minerals used for?
Minerals are one of the many classifications of components that you will collect while playing Monster Hunter World and are used as a component to build weapons and armor pieces.
Minerals come primarily from mining outcrops, which are crystals in each of the game’s hunting areas. Simply walk up to it, press the button it tells you, and look for food.
You get three minerals per mining outcrop, and unlike previous Monster Hunter games, you don’t need to carry a pickaxe to mine them.
If you’re specifically looking for mining outcrops, remember that you can use your map to locate the one you want and click the right stick to have your Scoutflies take you to them.
Unlike Bone Piles, there are differences between the minerals (red and blue), but the good news is that the minerals in all areas tend to be the same. Of course, then they differ between low range and high range.
How to Get Dragonite Ore, Dragon Vein Crystal, Spirit Core Ore, and Other Common Ore
The following are common minerals in low rank:
- Iron Ore Location: Mining Outcrops (most common in Ancient Wastes and Wildspire Wastes, both ranges)
- Machalite Ore Location: Mining Outcrops (most common in Ancient Wastes and Wildspire Wastes, low rank)
- Dragonite Ore Location: Mining Outcrops (Coral Highlands, Rotten Vale and Elder’s Recess, all ranges)
The following are common minerals at high rank and master rank:
- Carbalite Ore Location: Mining Outcrops (all areas in High Rank, most common in red deposits)
- Dragonvein Crystal Location: Mining Outcrops (all areas in High Rank, most common in red deposits)
- Spiritcore Ore Location: Mining Outcrops (all areas in High Rank, most common in red deposits)

The following are rarer minerals specific to a low rank area and up:
- Earth Crystal Location: Mining Outcrops (Uncommon Find in Low Rank Wildspire Wastes)

- Lightcrystal Location: Mining Outcrops (Uncommon find in Low Rank Rotten Vale; Uncommon find in all High Rank areas)
- Coral Crystal Location: Mining Outcrops (Rare find in Coral Highlands in High Rank)
- Novacrystal Location: Mining Outcrops (Rare find in Coral Highlands and Rotten Vale in High Rank)
- Fucium Ore Location: Mining Outcrops (find it in Elder’s Recess in High Rank)
- Dreamcore Ore Location: Mining Outcrops (search Elder’s Recess at High Rank)
