National Youth Day 2023: The Government of India first declared to celebrate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda in 1984 and observe it as National Youth Day on January 12. It is also known as Rashtriya Yuva Diwas.
Swami Vivekananda’s famous speech at the World Parliament of Religions in 1893 in Chicago changed the way the world viewed India. He introduced Indian Vedanta and yoga philosophies to the world which put India on the spiritual map of the world. He founded the Ramakrishna Mission.
