How to mount and ride a Pal in Palworld, including mount list

Having a mount in Palworld is a real advantage to your exploration efforts, as it will allow you to traverse the landscape at a much greater speed.

There are three types of mounts in Palworld: a terrestrial one, an aquatic one and, finally, an aerial one. Because of this, it’s a good idea to know which Friends can be ridden and what type of landscape they will help you explore, so we’ve included a list of Palworld mounts below.

However, we first recommend learning how to ride and ride a Pal in Palworld or else you won’t be going anywhere.

How to assemble a Pal in Palworld

If you want to ride a Pal, whether on land, across the sea, or in the sky, you must first pick up one that has the ability to be a mount. You can find out if any of the Friends currently in your collection have this ability by looking at their Partner Ability. If it mentions “can be mounted” in any way, then you have a mount!

However, you can’t just hop on a friend’s back and start exploring. You would fall.

Instead, you’ll need to create a saddle, which, if you haven’t already, you’ll need to unlock from the Technology menu. However, there are a series of requirements that you must meet before doing so.

First of all, you must catch at least one of those specific mount companions to unlock their saddle. You may have noticed that there are a number of options in the Technology menu where the item you can create is hidden by a question mark; These are the items that require you to capture a specific friend to unlock them and saddles are one of those items.

Next, you need to make sure you are at the correct level to unlock that section of the Technology menu. So if not, it’s time to go and collect some XP by catching friends, gathering resources, and expanding your bases, among other activities.

After doing this, or if you are already at this specific level, you need to make sure you have enough tech points to unlock the chair recipe.

Step number four involves building a Pal Gear workbench if you haven’t already. This item allows you to build a variety of items that will unlock new abilities for your friends, such as different saddles, and requires:

Now all you have to do is gather the necessary resources to build the specific chair. You can find these items in both the Technology menu and Pal Gear Workbench. Once you’ve collected them, it’s time to create your saddle (or ask your friends to do it for you) in Pal Gear Workbench.

Once you have collected the completed chair, launch your Pal mount out of its sphere and you will be able to mount it by pressing the correct message. You will have a number of skills at your disposal when you mount your mount.

In practice, this means that if you want to ride Melpaca, you must first catch one of these Pals. (Fortunately, they can be found in the starting area or hatch from common eggs.) Next, you must reach level 7 and have a spare technology point. Once this is accomplished, you will need to collect three leather, five wool, and five palladium fragments to collect the chair at the Pal Gear workbench. Once the saddle is made, you can assemble any of your Melpacas whenever you want.
