Learning Force abilities at the Rift Gates in Fortnite is one of the many challenges you can take on as part of the ‘Find the Force’ event currently running through Tuesday, May 23. This challenge tasks you with finding one of the popular Star Wars characters scattered across the map and asking him to teach you what he knows about the Force.
During this event in Fortnite, you can also decide if you want to learn the ways of the Force from a Jedi or a Sith. The choice is yours, as both types of characters can be found in Find the Force.

How to Learn Strength Skills at Rift Gates in Fortnite
To learn force abilities at the Rift Gates in Fortnite, you need to find one of the holographic Star Wars NPCs found on the map. They are not guaranteed to spawn in the exact same place every match, which can make them hard to find, especially when everyone else is looking for them.
When a character appears, their location will be marked by an icon on your map. Obi-Wan and Anakin sport a similar style of icon with a lightsaber in the center. However, the Darth Maul icon is quite distinctive and you can see it below:
Remember, when an icon appears, you need to access it quickly. If another player beats you, they will learn the Force abilities.
Also, if someone else beats the character to you and learns the Force abilities from him, that character will disappear and then respawn somewhere else.
You will also notice that each character teaches you different Force Skills:
- Anakin Skywalker: Use the Force to attract objects and players towards you.
- Darth Maul – Use the Force to pick up objects (rocks) around you and forcefully throw them at enemies. Good for one hit kill.
- Obi-Wan Kenobi: Use the Force to push enemies and objects away from you.

Once you find your chosen NPC, all you need to do is interact with him and accept his offer to teach you some Force abilities. This will cause a Rift Gate to appear which you will automatically enter and exit.
Forced push is a deadly attack.
Once you exit the Rift Gate, you will have learned some Force abilities and have a lightsaber in your inventory. You can pick up lightsabers from fallen enemies, but you won’t have learned the Force abilities along with them.
To complete this challenge, you will need to learn Force skills in three different games; you cannot visit all three characters in one.
