How to start the quest Possible Princess Sightings

To start the Potential Princess Sightings quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you need to head to the Lucky Clover Gazette at the northern end of the Tabantha Frontier, northwest of Hyrule Ridge. Its precise coordinates are (-3252, 1773, 0118).

If you haven’t already, we highly recommend completing the Oromuwak Shrine which is to the east of the Gazette so you have a fast travel location nearby.

We also highly recommend having at least one and a half stamina wheels for Link, although a larger stamina wheel will make this a lot easier. If you haven’t upgraded Link’s stamina yet, we suggest you take some time to visit a few more shrines.

When you reach the Gazette building, go inside and talk to the editor-in-chief, Traysi. She will then employ you as part of the Gazette and begin the quest Potential Princess Sightings.

How to find Zelda’s golden horse

Once you have started the Possible Princess Sightings quest, you will now need to head northwest of Central Hyrule to find Snowfield Stables. The stables are east of the Hebra Mountains, northeast of Tabantha Frontier and Rito Village. The precise coordinates of Snowfield Stables are (-1639, 2564, 0233).

You can find the exact location of Snowfield Stables on the map below:

Once here, look towards the entrance to the stables and then look to the right. You should see some horses happily eating hay and Penn will be talking to Harlow in front of them. Approach Penn and interact with him to begin following the conversation.

You will discover that Zelda’s Golden Horse got scared and fled north. Now, before you start going down that road, we recommend stocking up on some cold-resistant foods, stamina-boosting foods, and elixirs in the Slow Cooker.

Princess Zelda’s golden horse in Tears of the Kingdom can be found in the middle of North Tabantha Snowfield. This is north of Snowfield Stables and east of Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower.

Be careful when you start venturing down this path, as there is a Frost Gleeok prowling the skies. Fortunately, you can easily sneak past this creature and avoid the fight entirely.

Once you approach the area on your map, you should see the horse appear in the distance. When we found him, he was hanging around some ruins with a few other horses, but luckily the fact that he’s gold means he really stands out in the snowy surroundings.

As you would when trying to tame a normal horse, sneak up behind Zelda’s horse without being detected (stealth-boosting elixirs are useful here). Then, she mounts the horse and tries to calm him down. This is the difficult part, as it requires a lot of stamina.

We had just over a wheel and a half of stamina, and we had to fully recharge it twice with various meals while trying to tame Zelda’s horse. Eventually, you will manage to tame them and all you need to do is bring them back to Snowfield Stables. While you’re on horseback, she talks to Harlow and Penn once more to conclude this mission.

In Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Link is on the golden horse and talks to Penn and Harlow at Snowfield Stables.

As a reward, they will give you a bunch of items, including a royal bridle and a royal saddle, but most importantly, they will also give you the golden horse. That’s how it is! You’ll be able to keep Zelda’s horse, so be sure to register it at Snowfield Stable as soon as possible.
