How to get Dewpider in Pokémon Go

Dewpider first appeared in Pokémon Go during the Water Festival event on Thursday, May 12, 2022.

Dewpider.

Throughout this event, you will be able to obtain Dewpider through a variety of methods:

  • In the wild: Appears most frequently during the Water Festival event.
  • Water Festival Field Research Task: Catch 15 Pokémon
  • Water Festival: Catch Challenge: Complete “Make 25 Curveball Tosses”

As you can see from the methods listed above, the easiest way to catch a Dewpider is to find it in the wild or complete the “Make 25 Curveball Throws” step in the Water Festival: Catch Challenge.

However, since this step of the quest will require several Pokémon encounters to complete, there’s a good chance you’ll encounter Dewpider naturally in the wild as you work towards it. Still, you need that Dewpider Candy for its evolution!

Araquanid.

If you want to catch Dewpider completing his Water Festival Field Research task, it’s important to remember that the tasks assigned by PokéStops change from day to day. This means that this specific task can be quite difficult to find, as you can receive event-exclusive tasks alongside the regular set of monthly Field Research tasks.

If you want to use this method, we recommend finding a Pokémon Go group in your local area, because someone may have already found the PokéStop you’re looking for.

As of this writing, we don’t know what the Dewpider spawn rate will be once the Water Festival ends. However, there is a chance that, like other recently released Pokémon, it will be quite difficult to find.

The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! The Out to Play event is currently taking place. You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

How to evolve Dewpider into Araquanid in Pokémon Go

To turn Dewpider into Araquanid in Pokémon Go, you need to collect 50 Dewpider Candy.

You can easily collect enough Dewpider Candies using Pinap Berries by catching them or by walking with a Dewpider as your friend.

As of this writing, we have yet to see if Dewpider and Araquanid will have any weight in the Go Battle League.

Still, if you want to complete the Alola Pokédex, you must collect enough Dewpider Candy to complete this evolution and the Water Festival is the best time to do it.

Handsome catching and evolving, Dewpider!
