Location of Team Star’s Dark Crew base in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

You can find the Team Star Dark Crew base in both Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, just south of Cascarafa in the Western Province (Area 1). The entrance with the Grunts guarding it is marked with a greenish-yellow star icon on your map.

To quickly find the Dark Base, fly to the Western Province Pokémon Center (Area 1) and then follow the path through the large flags in the distance, and you will soon see the Dark Crew base.

When you get close enough to the entrance to the Segin Squad base, you’ll automatically talk to two Grunts outside and enter into a battle with one of them, so it’s a good idea to make sure your Pokémon are healed before heading into the base.

Segin Squad Pokémon Grunt outside Team Star’s Dark Crew base in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

The Grunt outside the Star Dark Crew base in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will fight a level 19 Murkrow, which is the first Dark-type you’ll face here, so make sure you have a Fairy, Fighting, or Bug-type on the first position of your team.

We use Tinkatink’s evolution, Tinkatuff, at level 28 to defeat Murkrow quickly.

Once you defeat Segin Squad Grunt’s Murkrow, you will get 988 prize money and be able to access the Dark Crew base.

However, before ringing the bell to enter Team Star’s Dark base, make sure the first three Pokémon on your team are fully healed, as you’ll only be able to use them in the next challenge.

How to complete Star Barrage in Team Star’s Dark Crew base in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

To clear Team Star’s Dark base, you must defeat 30 of their Pokémon in 10 minutes during a ‘Star Barrage’ and then battle Dark Crew leader Giacomo.

You’ll use the Let’s Go feature to take on Star Barrage, so press ‘R’ to send out your Pokémon when you encounter groups of enemies. You can continue to press ‘R’ to summon more Pokémon and move them between areas when you encounter more enemies.

During the Dark Crew Star Barrage challenge, you will face the following Pokémon:

  • Murkrow
  • endeavor
  • Sneasel
  • stinky
  • Zorua
  • Sableye
  • nimbus

Although we recommend using Fairy, Fighting, or Bug types (since Dark types are weak against them) to prepare for the upcoming boss fight, virtually any Pokémon with a high enough level will be able to defeat 30 of these Pokémon in a span of time. Few minutes.

Just make sure not to use Ghost or Psychic types, as they are vulnerable to Dark moves.

We used a lineup of Tinkatuff, Floragato, and Pawmo, all around level 30, and were able to beat Dark Crew’s Star Barrage challenge in under three minutes.

If you notice that your Pokémon is low on health during a Star Barrage, you can return to Clive and he will heal your party for you. However, if one of them faints, you can help them recover HP by using one of the vending machines in the base.

If you’re too low level or have accidentally chosen the wrong types for your party, you can press ‘Y’ to give up for now and come back later to try Star Barrage again whenever you want.

How to beat Giacomo in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Once you complete Star Barrage at the Dark Crew base, you will have to face their leader, Giacomo, in a battle.

Giacomo will use two Pokémon:

  • Pawn – Level 21
  • Revavroom (Segin Starmobile) – Level 20

Tinkatink and its evolutions are effective against Pawniard, Giacomo’s first Pokémon, as it is a dual-type Steel and Fairy, meaning it can resist Pawniard’s Steel and Dark moves, while using Fairy’s Effective moves. A good Fighting or Fire-type Pokémon could also be effective against Pawniard.

Although Revavroom is usually a dual-type Steel and Poison, the Segin Starmobile Revavroom variant shares the same weaknesses in Pawniard, as its type is specific to this Dark Crew’s base. So, Tinkatink and the evolutions of it, and the Fighting and Fire types, will also be effective in defeating Giacomo’s Segin Starmobile Revavroom.

Once you’ve defeated Pawniard and the Segin Starmobile, you’ll have successfully defeated Giacomo and cleared Team Star’s Dark Crew base.

In addition to receiving the Giacomo Team Star Badge and progressing through the Starfall Street story, you’ll earn the following rewards:

That’s another Team Star Crew base, so why not take on Mela, Atticus, Ortega, or Eri next? Or maybe you want to continue with Victory Road or Path of Legends? The world is your cloister!
