Everything we know about the launch of Honkai: Star Rail 1.0

There’s a lot to come with the 1.0 release of Honkai: Star Rail! We’ll highlight all the major content below, but we’ll stick to what’s been officially announced, so nothing from the beta has been revealed yet as it’s not guaranteed that everything will carry over to launch.

Here’s everything we know about the main content coming to Honkai: Star Rail during its 1.0 release:

Pioneering will

This permanent reward system gives you a total of 40 regular Star Rail passes and 1,600 Stellar Jade for reaching the required Trailblaze levels. Stellar Jade can be redeemed in exchange for regular or special Star Rail passes. So, that equates to a total of 50 banner runs.

Trailblaze’s level increases by completing activities such as story and side quests, opening chests, and using your daily Trailblaze power.

Outbound and standard banners

The standard banner is what you spend your normal Star Rail passes on to warp (pull) 5-star characters and 4-star characters and light cone weapons. This is a permanent banner that never disappears, but the departure banner only lasts for a total of 50 Warps.

However, it’s worth using your regular Star Rail Passes at the departure sign, as there’s a 20% discount for a set of 10 Warps and you’re guaranteed a 5-star character within these 50 total runs.

With all the Free Passes earned, you will be able to obtain a 5-star character from the starting banner from the beginning of the game.

forgotten living room

This permanent game mode is a great way to earn rewards while testing the power of your chosen equipment. You have to defeat waves of enemies in the Forgotten Hall in a set number of turns (cycles), making these battles much higher at stake and making them much more difficult!

You enter each battle stage with your chosen team and must defeat set waves of enemies within the required cycles to earn your rewards and advance to the next stage. You can even get additional rewards for completing bonus objectives.

The other part of the Forgotten Hall is the ‘Memory of Chaos’, which contains the most difficult enemies and challenges. However, these challenges will be updated periodically so you can continue earning rewards from them.

For reaching a special stage of the Forgotten Hall, you can also obtain the 4-star character Qingque for free, who uses the Quantum Element and follows the path of Erudite, meaning it is best used for multiple AOE (area of effect). damage.

simulated universe

Like Forgotten Hall, Simulated Universe is also an optional, permanent game mode that tests your combat skills with rewards you can earn. However, there is no limit on turns. Instead, you explore areas and gain random buffs (Blessings) after each encounter, making it a more roguelike challenge.

You earn points for participating in the Simulated Universe, which you can then use to redeem rewards in the Herta store. These rewards are updated every week.

To reach a special stage, you can also get the 4-star character Herta for free, who uses Ice Release, and also follows the Erudite path, meaning she is best used for multi-target AOE (area of effect) damage.

Worlds

As in the beta version, we will have three worlds to explore in Honkai: Star Rail 1.0:

  • Herta space station.
  • Jarilo-VI.
  • Xianzhou Luofa.

The Herta space station is where you begin your Star Rail journey and is the smallest area in the game, but there’s still plenty to do on board, with plenty of side missions and optional content available.

Jarilo-VI contains the city of Belobog, which has a snowy world and a shadowy underworld, with characters from both areas joining the Astral Express crew on their adventures on the planet.

The underworld of Belobog.

The Xianzhou Alliance is a fleet of ships, one of which is the gigantic Luofa. In addition to exploring Central Starskiff Haven, Cloudfort, Stargazer Navalia, and Jade Gate, Exalting Sanctum is new in 1.0 and did not appear in any previous beta.

The new area of the Exalting Sanctum of Xianzhou Luofa.

The 1.0 release patch will also contain story content and side quests up to Xianzhou Luofa, and a bunch of other side activities to pass the time until the next patch brings us new banners, events, and story content.

If you want to learn more about the game before its release, we have a Star Rail explainer detailing all the important features of the game and its connection to the broader Honkai universe.
