Leonine Misbegotten is a completely optional boss in Elden Ring, but don’t take her on too many, she’ll be an easy challenge.

How to prepare for Leonine Misbegotten
In truth, there isn’t much to do to prepare for the Leonine Misbegotten. The beast hits hard with a massive sword, so to that end, you’ll be sure to bring the strongest possible physical defense-based armor with you for this encounter.
Whether you use a finger curl or not, there is an AI summon sign written in gold immediately outside the entrance to the boss arena, and we recommend that you summon them for the next battle.
Leonine Misbegotten Tips: How to Beat Leonine Misbegotten
If you’ve already fought the Misbegotten Warrior and the Crucible Knight at Redmane Castle in the Far East, then you know what to expect here.
However, if you haven’t, the Leonine Misbegotten is a fast-moving beast with a greatsword, but because the beast is so strong, it can comfortably wield said greatsword with just one hand, leaving the other free to beat you up.
The Leonine Misbegotten normally attacks with rapid movements of the sword, chained in two or three blows. The only variant of this is for the beast to use its free hand to claw at you before launching into the chain attack.
Blocking with a shield isn’t really a viable option here, even if you have huge stamina reserves, so we recommend that you pay close attention to timing your dodges correctly to get through the big slashes.
A potentially deadly attack is the Leonine Misbegotten’s jump attack. The monster grabs his sword with both hands and jumps high into the air, crashing towards where you are standing.
Don’t back away from this attack, but stay calm until the last possible moment and then dodge the attack to get out on the other side of the boss unscathed and give it a good hit.
Fortunately, the Leonine Misbegotten can be affected by attacks and is not too big of a task to undertake. If you have summoned the AI companion near the entrance to the boss arena, they can become quite aggressive at your side when attacking the boss.
If you see the beast approaching them, press attack and the AI character will join you, bringing you a little closer to stunning the Leonine Misbegotten and dealing massive damage.
Alternatively, a very viable tactic for the Leonine Misbegotten is to simply bombard it with ranged magic attacks. While the AI summon character draws his attention, pepper him with spells like Glintstone Pebble, or even more powerful sorceries if you have access to them.
This combination of physical and magical ranged attacks will offer an excellent fight against the Leonine Misbegotten.

When the Leonine Misbegotten has been killed, he will reward you with 3,800 Runes, a rather paltry sum if you’ve been traveling everywhere in Elden Ring.
