Wailmer 100% perfect IV stats, shiny Wailmer in Pokémon Go

This week’s Featured Hour is all about Pokémon Whale Ball, which means it’s the perfect opportunity to catch a Wailmer in Pokémon Go.

Wailmer is not the most exciting Pokémon in Pokémon Go. Wailmer is a relatively common spawn, Wailord is not good in raids and is pretty horrible in Go Battle League. The only real use for it is as a Gym defender if you want to annoy anyone attacking the Gym, thanks to the size of this stubby Pokemon’s health bar.

One thing that’s exciting about this Hourly Spotlight, though, is that it’s relatively easy to pull off a great curveball pitch with Wailmer, so the double-catch XP bonus that runs alongside the event will be extremely helpful for those looking to accumulate XP. quickly!

Wailmer 100% perfect IV stats in Pokémon Go

This week’s Featured Hour is a great opportunity to catch a Wailmer with perfect IV stats.

waimer.

“Perfect” means two things in Pokémon Go, depending on how you plan to use a given Pokémon. First, there’s the max build, 100% IV, which is the 15/15/15 you’re looking for for your 4* Pokédex, Raids, and Master League. However, because of how CP is calculated using three stats, a perfect Pokemon IV is usually just the best version of itself in Master League.

Of course, you can’t see a Pokemon’s IV without catching it first, but with a bit of research beforehand, you can quickly spot a perfect Wailmer based solely on CP.

If you’re level 30 (or higher), you’ll ideally be looking for the following CPs for a perfect 15/15/15 Wailmer:

  • Level 30 (Max Wild CP) – 1258 CP
  • Level 35 (Weather Boosted Wild CP Max) – 1363 CP
  • The wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach level 30, and since the majority of the player base is now above this level, we’ve kept these values for the sake of simplicity. However, these values will be different if you are currently below level 30.

The Season of Adventure Abundance is almost here! Before it arrives, try to complete the Fascinating Facets and Sky High special research missions. You can also complete a route and fight in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

    Is Wailord good at PvP?

There are certainly worse water types out there, but no, Wailord isn’t great in Go Battle League.

    Warlord.

But first, Wailmer. If you’re looking at Great League, Wailmer is your best option, with Water Gun, Body Slam, and Heavy Slam. Oh, and the fact that you can get a level 50 Wailmer in Great League is nothing. less than disgusting. Nothing here is particularly standout, though: just slam spam.

So how are you doing? You can beat Azumarill, Galarian Stunfisk, Alolan Ninetails, Walrein, and Sableye. However, no amount of Stardust was invested in Wailmer (and you need a batch) will allow you to beat Lanturn, Medicham, Swampert, or Noctowl.

In Ultra League, this Wailord becomes your best bet, with Water Gun, Surf, and Blizzard. Again, this is a level 50 Pokémon, with 2496 CP, which will help you beat Talonflame, Galarian Stunfisk, Charizard, Tapu Fini, and Shadow Swampert. The losses will come from Giratina, Cresselia, Walrein, Cobalion and the usual Swampert.

Note that all of these matchups are based on you having a level 50 Wailmer or Wailord. This will cost you (depending on the original Wailmer’s capture level) around 500,000 Stardust, 300 Wailmer Candy (plus 400 if you want to evolve your Wailmer) and 296 Wailmer Cady XL. That’s a combination of 1,000 candies and half a million Stardust for a Pokémon that’s okay at best. Is it worth the investment? That’s up to you (but no, it’s categorically not worth the investment, save your Stardust for something better!)

Master League Wailord is basically the same as Ultra League, as they are both level 50. Here, however, the small defense (Wailord went for intense resistance, not defense stats) will leave Float Whale somewhat deflated.

Is there a shiny Wailmer in Pokémon Go?

Yeah! Shiny Wailmer was released in April 2018 as part of the Earth Day event!

What does the brilliant Wailmer look like?

As you can see below, the brilliant Wailmer follows in the footsteps of greatness, channeling both Kyogre and Swampert. Simply swap blue for purple and call it a day!

Shiny Wailord knows when to copy Wailmer’s homework: why mess with perfection? Here we have a pair of cool looking purple shimmers that look pretty decent. Get yourself a shiny Wailmer if you can, and then have fun every time you see him trying on his Shiny Kyogre cosplay.

Other tips for this hour of attention

In addition to trying to catch a shiny Wailmer in Pokémon Go, there are a couple more good reasons to participate in this week’s Featured Hour:

    • The best reason is, of course, the double catch XP bonus that runs throughout the hour. This goes for all caught Pokemon, so try your best to get good at excellent curveball throws on a Wailmer to rack up XP quickly.
    • If you’re a newcomer, this Featured Hour is the perfect time to collect enough Wailmer Candy to fully evolve this Pokémon and enter all of its evolutions into the Pokédex.
    • Since Wailmer is a Water-type, catching a bunch during this Featured Hour will add progress to your respective Capture Bonus medal.

Spotlight Hour events only last one hour: from 6 pm to 7 pm (local time). Check back next week for an introduction to Rhyhorn making his way onto the stage with a double candy catch bonus!

Good luck finding a perfect Wailmer!
