Providing an answer to the best faction in Dying Light 2 is not easy as it will vary depending on your personal preferences. What’s much easier to describe are the benefits of helping each faction, as well as how to help each rise to power in Villedor.

How do factions work in Dying Light 2?
The two factions in Dying Light 2 are the Peacekeepers and the Survivors. These two factions dominate both the minute-by-minute gameplay and the story of the Techland sequel, giving you not only gameplay improvements and adjustments to the world around you, but also different outcomes for the story (no spoilers here!).
The factions in Dying Light 2 clash with each other very frequently. Especially in the first hours of the game, when the protagonist Aiden has just arrived in the city of Villedor, you will see the Survivors and the Peacekeepers facing each other with incredible frequency.
Choosing which Faction dominates the city of Villedor is very literal. Throughout the ruined city, there are crucial structures that you can assign to a faction of your choice (more on that below), and it is through these that you will advance one group over the other. For example, you can assign a power plant to peacekeepers, who in turn will provide you with traps around the city to combat the infected.
How important is the election of Peacekeepers and Survivors?
These options of assigning facilities to factions do not affect the overall story of Dying Light 2. It is very important to remember that when you give one faction more dominance over the other with upgrades, you are not giving up to be stuck with them. for the rest of the game, as they have no relation to the Dying Light 2 story.
There are countless moments in Dying Light 2’s story where you can side with the Peacekeepers instead of the Survivors, even if you’ve given the latter a much easier time, for example. Therefore, don’t think that giving more facilities to one faction gives it “dominance” over the other, but simply think of it as a way to shape the city.

- Air Vents: Improved air vents for greater height with the glider.

Peacekeepers or Survivors: Which is the best faction in Dying Light 2?
Well, this is a difficult question. As we established above, your decisions when assigning facilities to Peacekeepers or Survivors have no bearing on the story of Dying Light 2. As such, the “best faction” in Dying Light 2 is really more of a case of what you want it to be. . city to literally shine.
In short, Survivors are best if you prefer to avoid fights and explore the rooftops of Villedor.
On the other hand, Peacekeepers are for those who prefer to decimate anyone who stands in their way, whether crowds of infected or bandits. If that’s you, then you’ll probably want to go for all the explosive options that Peacekeepers have to offer.
Keep in mind that you can absolutely commit to both parties whenever you want. For example, you could assign two installations to the Survivors to get the Airbags and Ziplines upgrades, and then place three installations to the Peacekeepers to get additional car traps, electric traps, and the Canon PK Razor.
This is an absolutely valid option in Dying Light 2, and if we’re honest, using the best of both worlds is probably the best option. It’s best not to view the factions here as having an effect on the story and instead view them purely in terms of rewards They offer you.
Don’t worry, you can leave all the hard decisions for when you’re playing the story, because the facilities you assign to factions have no bearing on the story of Dying Light 2.
