How to Unlock the ‘Nature and Nurture’ Scar Mission in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To unlock Scar and his ‘Nature and Nurture’ quest line in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must unlock access to the Sunlit Plateau area with 7000 Dreamlight and complete the quest ‘The Curse’ by repairing the pillars of friendship, courage, trust and power. Once you’ve completed these previous Pillars quests and unlocked the Sunlit Plateau, go to the large elephant bones in the northeast area to “Investigate the Giant Skull,” and you’ll find that the entrance is now unlocked. He walks and talks to Scar to begin his ‘Nature and Nurture’ quest.
We also recommend using your pickaxe on the rock inside Scar’s elephant bone cave, as it contains a special reward.

The first step in the ‘Nature and Nurture’ quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley asks you to go to a new area, Vitalys Mines.
The Vitalys Mines are located in the northern area of Sunlit Plateau, above the bridge, at the mouth of the river. Look for the waterfall to the right of the bridge, as the entrance to the mines is behind it.
Where to Find What’s Blocking the River for the ‘Nature and Nurture’ Mission in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Before starting, we recommend that you bring some meals or food to the Vitalys mines, since there are many rocks that you must clear with your pickaxe to advance through the area. If you don’t feel like cooking, cocoa beans are actually a very good source of energy, and there are some trees containing cocoa beans located on the sunlit plateau.
Your goal inside the mines for Scar’s ‘Nature and Nurture’ quest is to find whatever is blocking the river. Explore the left side of the caves and use your pickaxe to clear all the rocks and get rid of all the night thorns to clear the path until you reach the right side of the cave with a small ramp on the right. -side.

Where to find the mining camp for the ‘Nature and Nurture’ quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
When you have finished reading this message on how to unlock the river, go down the ramp and turn right to find the mining camp ahead. The chest you should look for is the green one at the entrance to the camp.
You’ll know you’re in the right area if you can see the entrance to the Vitalys Mines in front of you, behind a large rock.

Open the chest, collect its contents, then go to your inventory and learn the root beer recipe. When you’re done, break that rock at the back of the mining camp with your pickaxe and leave the Vitalys Mines to tell Merlin what you’ve found.
Merlin is usually near his house, but if he is not there or at Remy’s restaurant, open your map and look for his photo.
How to Make Extra Fizzy Root Beer for the ‘Nature and Nurture’ Mission at Disney Dreamlight Valley
We have a complete guide on how to make extra fizzy root beer, but overall, the most important part of this step is to use the dried ginger you got at Vitalys Mines, not regular ginger.
Here’s exactly how to make extra fizzy root beer:
- 1 dried ginger
- 1 sugar cane
- 1 vanilla
When you have successfully brewed the extra fizzy variety of root beer, take it to the Vitalys Mines and put it in the red barrel with the crunchy candy you got from the chest in the mining camp. In true Disney style, the large Night Thorns will disappear and the water level will rise.
You can exit the mines to continue the mission, but we recommend walking over the new bridge at the edge of the mining camp and opening the chest to store a bag of furniture first.
Leave the mines and follow the purple figure to the dark portal near the elephant bones, then pick up the item The Forgotten left and exit through the same portal to return to the valley and show Merlin what you found.
How to Make Miracle Growth Elixir for the ‘Nature and Nurture’ Mission in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To prepare the elixir of miraculous growth, you need:
- 10 vitalys crystals
- 10 rich soil
- 1,000 Dreamlight
Vitalys Crystals are found by mining new black rocks with a blue glow in the Vitalys Mines. They are found throughout the mine, but if you want to get 10 Vitalys Crystals as soon as possible, bring a friend with a Mining Gathering Bonus for a chance to find double crystals every time you break one of these glowing blue rocks.
We have a whole page on rich soils, but in short, you get rich soil randomly by harvesting crops. Take a friend with the gardening meetup bonus, plant and grow wheat (it only takes a minute to grow), and you should get 10 rich soils in about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on how lucky you are with the drops.
If you don’t have 1000 Dreamlight, you can get more by completing quests for other villagers or by performing ‘Dreamlight Duties’. Check what tasks you currently have in the main menu and complete the easier ones there, such as cooking easy recipes, and you will soon have 1000 Dreamlight.
Once you have all the materials, take them to a workbench, go to “Potion and Enchantment” and select the Elixir of Miraculous Growth to craft it.
Select the elixir from your inventory and use it to upgrade your watering can, then talk to Merlin again.
The Disney Dreamlight Valley September Update is here! You can now obtain Beauty and the Beast by completing the quests Into the West Wing and A Prince in Disguise. The Fairy Godmother is still in the valley, so you can continue the story through the Forgotten Memories quest. Now you can also have multiplayer houses and customize furniture. How to Plant the Nurture Orb on the Pillar for the ‘Nature and Nurture’ Mission in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Pillar of Nutrition is located in the sunlit southern area of the Plateau, to the left of the bridge, and is easily recognizable by the purple smoke billowing from it.
Right in front of the purple orb in the middle of the Pillar is a place to plant in the ground. Go directly above and press the same button you would use to plant a crop, but select the gray orb instead.
Water the orb with your watering can and then… wait two days. Just remember to water it like you would a normal crop!
48 hours later (or more if you haven’t watered it), you can visit the Pillar of Nutrition to complete ‘Nature and Nurture’ and unlock Scar’s side quests. If you’re still waiting for the Orb to grow, we recommend making some cloth and fiber, and getting some salmon, tuna, rice, and soybeans (you’ll need to unlock Frozed Heights for this!) to get by. with upcoming missions for Scar.
