The Diablo 2: Resurrected alpha gives you an early chance to try out the remaster of a 20-year-old RPG classic.
Available only to those on PC, this test is the first of at least another alpha, so if you’re having trouble getting in this first round, don’t worry: other opportunities await.
Participants will be able to record, capture and transmit their images; Either way, expect a considerable look at the game once the alpha is available.

Diablo 2 Alpha Release Dates and Times: When does the Diablo 2: Resurrected Alpha start?
The Diablo 2 alpha is currently confirmed for one weekend, exclusively for PC players, between Friday, April 9 and Monday, April 12.
The alpha start and end times are as follows:
Diablo 2 Alpha Start Times (Friday, April 9):
- United Kingdom: 15:00 (BST)
- Europe: 4:00 p.m. (CEST)
- US East Coast: 11 am (EDT)
- US West Coast: 7 am (PDT)
Diablo 2 Alpha End Times (Monday, April 12):
- UK: 6pm (BST)
- Europe: 7:00 p.m. (CEST)
- US East Coast: 1:00 p.m. EDT
- US West Coast: 10 am (PDT)
Registrations in Diablo 2: How to get access to Diablo 2 alpha
For a chance to participate in the Diablo 2 technical alpha, you must register your interest on the official Diablo 2 website.
Participation does not guarantee access to this or future technical tests, since participants are chosen at random. If you are successful, you will receive an email with instructions on what to do next in the days leading up to the test.
To clarify, the test is single-player and for PC players only; There is nothing available for those on consoles.
What does the Diablo 2: Resurrected technical alpha include?
Diablo 2: Resurrected’s technical alpha focuses on single-player content, focusing on a specific number of acts and classes. You can expect the following:
- Acts 1 and 2 will be playable.
- There are three classes available: Amazon, Barbarian and Sorceress:
- Outside of the release times (see above), there are no restrictions on how much you can play and there is no level cap.
- Participants are free to share images and view the technical alpha.
- Controller support is available (Blizzard notes that the console version will have different controller options than on PC)
- Progress cannot be carried over to the final game.
As we’ve already mentioned, there will be at least one more technical test before launch, so if you’re not lucky, try again in the next round.
