Destiny 2 Witch Queen release time: What time will Destiny 2 servers be back online?

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is almost here, featuring what developer Bungie describes as the beginning of the end of the Light and Dark saga.

There’s a lot to look forward to: the new Throne World destination, a revamp of the Void 3.0 subclass, a new raid, a legendary campaign difficulty, and much more.

But there’s a lot going away, too, including the Forsaken campaign, the Tangled Shore destination, and most of Year 4’s seasonal content, including the fan-favorite Presage and Harbinger missions.

Even if you’ve done all the activities you need, there are some household tasks worth doing before the expansion, including delivering materials that will expire soon.

Destiny 2 The Witch Queen UK Release Time/GMT, CEST, EST, PST: What time will Destiny 2 servers come back online?

UPDATE (5:00pm UK): Destiny 2 patch notes are now available! If you’re looking for other things to read, learn about known exotics and our updated leveling guide.

Good luck entering today…

ORIGINAL GUIDE: Destiny 2 The Witch Queen’s release date is Tuesday, February 22, and will launch at the usual reset time:

  • United Kingdom: 17:00 (GMT)
  • Europe: 6:00 p.m. (CEST)
  • US East Coast: 12 pm (EST)
  • US West Coast: 9am (PST)

As with previous expansions, there’s a good chance you’ll enter a queue as soon as you load, with possible server codes and connection issues in the hours that follow.

If that’s the case, then it’s best to wait and start playing properly on Wednesday when things calm down.

Remember that while you wait for the servers to come back up, The Witch Queen update will be available for download. Please note that PS4 users will have to download the entire Destiny 2 again and will only be able to do so at the above times; In other words, there is no PS4 preload available. On the other hand, those who play on Google Stadia will not have to download anything; after all, it is a streaming platform.

How to prepare for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen

With numerous “saved” destinations, activities, and modes, and the above deadline in mind, there are some cleanup things worth doing while the servers are still up.

The good news is that you don’t need to spend time increasing your power level; Bungie has confirmed that all players will start on the new floor when the expansion launches.

Here are our recommendations for things you should do before The Witch Queen:

  • Deliver all your gunsmithing materials. These will disappear due to a new reputation system with Banshee-44 next season, so turn in the hundreds or thousands you have now before they disappear completely.

  • Other materials being removed from inventories that are worth spending include:
    • Bell of Conquests
    • golden kabbalah
    • Kabbalah Runes
    • Challenger Medallions
    • Corrupted data
    • Corrupt key code
    • Cryptolite decoy
    • Decrypted data
    • Eriviks Dream Token
    • Querim Dream Token
    • Xavoth Dream Token
    • Ether
    • Etheric spiral
    • Ghost Fragments
    • Ghost Mods: Arc Analyzer, Solar Analyzer, Void Analyzer, Omnitelemetry, Special Banshee
    • test hammer
    • imperial access code
    • Distress signal intercepted
    • Clue
    • Decoy Mutation Finder
    • Lure Mods: Prey Mods and Trophy Mods
    • Modifier components
    • Parallax trajectory
    • Pure Matter Lens
    • Recognition data
    • Splicer Gauntlet
    • Thread of nobility
    • The Unclaimed Light Bearer
    • Rewards/Enemies Wanted
    • Weapon telemetry
  • Claim pending rewards from engram vendors, including Zavala (Vanguard), Shaxx (Crucible), Drifter (Gambit), and Saint 14 (Trials).
  • Purchase Glimmer from Spider, which will be removed along with The Tangled Shore activity. Although currency exchange will be moving to Rahool in Year 5, it’s good practice to make sure you have enough Glimmer available for rewards and other activities now for when The Witch Queen begins.

The Season of the Depths is here along with the Into the Depths quest. You can also know how to go fishing! Don’t forget to keep an eye on the Lost Sector and King’s Fall challenge rotation schedule!

  • Stock up on rewards to redeem next season when you get your hands on the seasonal artifact. Note that you should avoid rewards that are likely to disappear as part of the vault process, including Tangled Shore or Season of the Hunt, Chosen, Splicer, Lost. Note that if you’re doing this, make sure you have enough space to add a few quests to your log (rewards and quests share the same inventory) for when the Witch Queen arrives.
  • In addition to unlocking all Season Pass rewards for the current Season across all classes, be sure to unlock Season Pass rewards for the current Season. former season before they disappear forever. You can do this on Bungie’s site here.

  • Beyond the cleanup items above, you must check off the remaining items on your Moments of Triumph list (which ends with the arrival of The Witch Queen), complete any featured stories from Year 4 Season (Hunting Season, Chosen , Splicer, Gone Girl) and play any seasonal activity before they disappear forever. Note that most of the exotics associated with vaulted activities should be available in the Monument of Lost Lights vault in the Tower, although Dead Man’s Tale and Hawnmoon in particular will be available in Xur with random spins on a weekly basis.

Good luck getting everything you need before The Witch Queen arrives!
