Final Fantasy 16 Scarletite Locations
So far, listed in the same order you unlock them, you can get Scarletite in Final Fantasy 16 as a reward during:
- Side quest ‘Hot Water’
- Dozmare Hunt
- Fastitocalon Hunt (x2 Scarletite rewarded)
- The hunt for the ten of clubs
- Holy hunt for the Trumpitour
Of the methods above, completing ‘Hot Water’, Dozmare Hunt, and Fastitocalon Hunt are the fastest ways to get Scarletite in Final Fantasy 16.
Hot water
The side quest “Hot Water” is available for Xaver to pick up at The Dalimil Inn in the Dhalmekian Republic later in the main quest “Riddle of the Sands”.
All you have to do is kill some bomb enemies for Xaver and you’ll get a Scarletite as a reward for your troubles.
Dozmare Hunt
The Dozmare Griffon Hunt is unlocked as part of the ‘Blacksmith’s Blues’ side quest, which is available to pick up in the Hideaway during the ‘Here Be Monsters’ main quest.
Dozmare is located in the southeast corner of the Norvent Valley in Sanbreque, which you can reach by following the southern route from the town of Lostwing. We also have some tips on how to beat Dozmare if you want to prepare for the fight.
Fastitocalon Hunt (A hill to die for)
The hunt ‘A Hill to Die On’ is actually called Fastitocalon and appears on the hunt board shortly after starting the main quest ‘Riddle of the Sands’.
Fastitocalon is located in the northeast corner of the Velkroy Desert area in the province of the Dhalmekian Republic. It’s also the best quest to complete a quick Scarletite, as it rewards two as part of the loot.
The hunt for the ten of clubs
The Ten of Clubs appears on the Hunt board shortly after completing the main quest ‘Fire in the Sky’.
The Ten of Clubs is located in the small area of Vanmere which is located on the southeastern side of the Corava Fields area in the province of the Dhalmekian Republic.
Holy hunt for the Trumpitour
The Holy Trumpitour appears as part of the side quest ‘Rekindled Flame’ that will be available during the main quest ‘Cloak and Dagger’.
The Santo Trumpitour is located at the end of the Cellar Passage in the Lostwing town area of the Sanbreque province. It is on the south side of town.
Scarletite Uses in Final Fantasy 16
We know of three items you need to use Scarletite to craft in Final Fantasy 16:
- Dragonslayer Belt
- Dragonslayer’s Bracelets
- excalibur sword
The Drakeslayer Belt and Bracelet blueprints are obtained by completing the first side quest ‘Blacksmith’s Blues’, and the Excalibur blueprint is rewarded when you complete the follow-up quest ‘Blacksmith’s Blues II’.
