Destiny 2 missing Eris quest bug solution: How to continue the second campaign mission

At the beginning of Destiny 2 Shadowkeep there is a bug that blocks the progress you can find.

Once you have completed the initial mission, A Mysterious Disturbance, you will unlock the fate of the Moon.

From here, you must visit the destination seller, Eris, who will give you the second quest. However, if you are like us, you may not receive this correctly due to a missing quest error. If so, here we explain how to continue playing.

You can read more about the expansion in our Destiny 2 Shadowkeep guide.

How to Solve Eris Missing Quest Bug in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep

When you visit Eris for the first time, you will be given some story details that will lead you to the second quest, In Search of Answers.

Once you accept, you’ll receive the quest step and be told how to track it, with a banner at the bottom titled “Shadowkeep Campaign Tracking.”

However, when you go to the Director and then your Missions log, it won’t actually be there and the banner will persist because you can’t select it.

Although the banner will disappear if you leave the destination, the next mission will not appear on the Moon.

So how do you resolve this Eris lost mission error? The answer is that it was sent to the postmaster. Head to the Tower and it should be there waiting for you.

We assume this will occur if you have a certain number of quests or rewards in your inventory, an issue we imagine some veteran Destiny 2 players will encounter.

Now that you have accepted the quest In Search of Answers, you can continue playing the Shadowkeep campaign. Phew!

The Season of the Depths is here along with the Into the Depths quest. You can also know how to go fishing! Don’t forget to keep an eye on the Lost Sector and King’s Fall challenge rotation schedule!
