Unearth and collect spooky tablatures in Fortnite is a new quest released as part of the Fortnitemares Halloween event.
To complete it, you’ll need to visit a really spooky area in Fortnite, one that’s home to zombies, ghosts, and even a mini-boss called the Inkquisitor.
There are four terrifying tablatures that need to be unearthed and you’ll have to get them all in a single match to earn the rewards. Here’s how to do it.
Please note that this particular challenge can no longer be completed. What’s new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! How to dig up and collect terrifying tablatures in Fortnite
The best way to dig up and collect scary tablature in Fortnite is to head to the quest menu and track the quest. This will mark the locations of the four spots you will need to dig. Then the Scary Tablature will appear and all you have to do is collect them. Collect four in a single match to complete the mission.
Scary Fortnite Tab Locations
To unearth and collect four Frightening Tablatures in a single match of Fortnite, first head to Grim Gables. It is marked on the map below. Land in the cornfield if you can, it’s right outside the big mansion.
Your first place to dig is in the cornfield, right next to a scarecrow. Simply equip your gathering tool and dig. A scary tablature will appear, hold down interact to collect it.
The next step is on the other side of the cornfield, right next to the restart truck. Dig and then collect the next scary tablature item.
The third Frightening Tablature is located southeast of the house, near a garage.
Eventually, you will reach the pumpkin patch located southwest of the house. Dig here to find the latest scary tablature item.

Rewards for collecting Terrifying Tablature in Fortnite
For unearthing and collecting four terrifying Tablature items in a single game of Fortnite, you’ll hear the Ink-Stained music album. You can equip it on your Locker to play spooky music while you’re in the main menu.
In addition to the music, you’ll also progress towards the Fortnitemares questline, which grants Halloween-themed rewards.
