Pokémon Go Daily Bonus rewards for streaks, first catch and Pokéstop of each day

Pokémon Go’s daily bonuses reward you for playing regularly and using its basic mechanics.

All you need to do is catch a Pokémon every day to create a catch streak and visit a PokéStop every day to create a spin streak and earn extra XP and Stardust. You’ll get even more rewards if you do this every day for an entire week.

This Pokémon Go guide will cover everything you need to know about daily streaks.

Pokémon Go Daily Bonus Rewards and How Streaks Work

Daily streak XP and Stardust rewards.

For the first Pokémon you catch and the first PokéStop you spin each day, you’ll earn additional XP and Stardust.

It doesn’t matter which Pokémon or PokéStop you spin (it can be the same one you visit every day), as you will still earn that day’s reward and streak. If you do this seven days in a row, you will be rewarded with an even bigger bonus.

In addition to this, during the seven-day PokéStop streak, you will receive a special evolution item, such as King’s Rock, Sun Stone, Up-Grade, Dragon Scale, or Metal Coat.

The amount of XP and Stardust you received for your daily streaks used to be lower, but developer Niantic increased these figures during lockdown in March 2020 to make it easier to play from home.

The following table shows the amount of XP, Stardust, and other bonuses currently awarded for each day of your daily catch and spin streak:

Activity One-day streak reward seven day streak reward
Catch a Pokémon 1,500 XP and 1,800 Stardust 6,000 XP and 9,000 Stardust
Turning a PokéStop 500 XP and additional items like Poké Balls, berries, and gifts 2500 XP and even more bonus items including a special evolution item

The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! The Out to Play event is currently taking place. You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

Other things you should know about Pokémon Go streaks and daily bonuses

Here’s some additional information on how to catch Pokémon and spin PokéStops in Pokémon Go to help you get the most out of the game:

  • Spinning a Gym Photo Disc also counts as spinning a PokéStop. Simply tap the Poké Ball symbol in the bottom right corner after selecting a gym to switch to the Photo Disk screen.
  • Using a Lucky Egg will double the XP earned for 30 minutes, while activating a Star Piece rewards 50 percent more Stardust for 30 minutes. This means you can get even more XP and Stardust from your daily streaks when these items are active. We recommend using these items only if you plan to do a lot of activities that grant XP or Stardust to get the most out of them.

Rewards for spinning a PokéStop.

  • Eligibility for the daily bonus will reset at 12 a.m. local time, so you won’t have to wait a full 24 hours after catching a Pokémon for the last time or spinning a PokéStop to continue your streak.
  • You can see what catch or spin streak you’re currently on by navigating to the Today View tab. This is found by tapping the binoculars symbol in the bottom right corner of the screen and selecting “Today” in the top tabs. Scroll down past your PokéCoins number to see your streaks.
  • Make sure you don’t have a full item bag when spinning a PokéStop; Otherwise, you will not be able to continue the streak or obtain any items. You can purchase additional slots by purchasing upgrades from the item bag in the in-game store for 200 PokéCoins.
  • The daily bonus you receive is in addition to the rewards you get for catching Pokémon or visiting PokéStops, so expect to add (at least) 100 XP for catching a Pokémon and 50 XP for spinning a PokéStop. Using Curveballs will reward even more XP, depending on whether you made a good, great, or great throw.
  • Hatching an egg won’t count as catching a Pokémon, so make sure you find them in the wild to continue your catching streak.
  • You can also earn medals for catching Pokémon, visiting PokéStops, and more, giving you extra incentive to keep catching and spinning every day.

Good luck building those catch and spin streaks in Pokémon Go!
