How to get the CALUS Mini Tool in Destiny 2
The CALUS mini-tool, like all opulent weapons, comes primarily from Leviathan and Calus-related activities.
Containment is a group activity that takes place in the Leviathan, pitting Guardians in the area who wish to participate against several waves of enemies, spread over three rounds. It culminates in a boss fight, after which a chest appears, and for 500 Vestiages of Dread you can purchase an additional drop, any of which can earn you the Mini-Tool.
Meanwhile, the opulent chests around the Leviathan are another possible source of CALUS mini-tool. You’ll need an Opulent Key to open these chests, but every time you open one there’s a chance there will be a CALUS Mini Tool waiting for you.
Finally, there is the Threshold Focus option. You’ll need to level the Crown of Sorrow a bit first, but once you do, you’ll be able to visit the Crown aboard the HELM and focus Umbral Engrams on Opulent Weapons.
Even better, the first one you focus on each week is a guaranteed deep vision/red edge weapon; Leveling up will provide you with materials for crafting weapons and will eventually unlock a pattern that will allow you to create and customize your ideal CALUS mini-tool.

CALUS Mini-Tool Divine Roll Recommendation in Destiny 2
Each CALUS mini-tool has the To Excess source trait, which grants bonuses to strength and discipline after killing while your super energy is full.
The CALUS ‘God Roll’ mini-tool will take advantage of the weapon’s speed advantages and allow you to eliminate masses of enemies in no time. If you collect enough patterns for this weapon, you can create your own and customize the rolls to select any of the available perks.

Corkscrew Rifling is a solid and versatile upgrade for the CALUS mini tool. This improves handling, range and stability, making this weapon easier to aim and lethal from further away.
Tactical Mag adds a small amount of ammo to the magazine and slightly improves stability. But the real advantage is the huge bonus to reload speed. This is a gun that should ideally keep shooting with minimal downtime, and quick reloading is a big part of that.
Grave Robber has a similar function to Tactical Mag, keeping the weapon firing with minimal interruption. With this, melee kills will partially recharge the CALUS Mini-Tool, ideal for the aggressive, close combat that the weapon is suited for.
Incandescent significantly changes the operation of CALUS Mini-Tool. Kills create an area-of-effect burn around the target, spreading the damage-over-time effect of the burn to nearby enemies. It’s almost like a poor man’s Osteo Striga, melting down groups of low-level enemies and creating tougher enemies for Solar-based build ignition effects.
As usual, once you have your preferred roll, be sure to upgrade it to Masterwork to give it a stat boost, the ability to spawn orbs on multiple kills, and add the option for a kill tracker.
