Batman: Arkham Knight – Poison Ivy, Cloudburst Tank, Simon Stagg, Nimbus Power Cell

Batman: Arkham Knight - Poison Ivy, Cloudburst Tank, Simon Stagg, Nimbus Power Cell

Before continuing, activate the City of Fear quest again. When you’re ready, step out onto the balcony and dive into the street below. Summon the Batmobile, head towards the next waypoint and stop inside the marker on the ground.

Work with Poison Ivy to defeat the militia forces.

Since Ivy’s location is no longer a secret (thanks in large part to the giant car-crushing roots that pop up on the road), you’ll need to take out the various tank drones swarming the area. You shouldn’t have too much trouble dealing with the standard drones, but be careful: once the first wave of drones is destroyed, five powerful Cobra tanks arrive. Use the on-screen radar to track their positions and carefully move backwards. each one to fire a cannon shot at his rear.

Arkham Knight is… 7 fan theories that will blow your mind

Don’t be arrogant though: these Cobra tanks are much more aggressive than the ones you’ve faced before. For starters, their targeting lasers can now travel a full 360 degrees, meaning it’s much harder to sneak up behind them. What’s more, once you successfully destroy a tank, all drones in the area will immediately converge on your position, proactively trying to find you. You’ll have to get rid of them quickly to avoid being detected.

Finally, their patrol routes often cause drones to crowd together, making stealth attacks extremely difficult. You will have to be patient and wait for the tanks to separate again if this happens. When all five drones have been eliminated, it’s time to pick up Poison Ivy.

Pick up Poison Ivy and return her to GCPD.

Follow the waypoint marker through the streets and park outside the Midtown Mall. Get out of your car and then go up to the roof of the Botanical Garden. Interact with the side of the tree to collect Ivy. Unfortunately, before you can get her to safety, Arkham Knight activates the Cloudburst, covering Gotham in a cloud of deadly toxin.

Destroy Arkham Knight’s Cloudburst Tank

Interrogate Simon Stagg to find a way to defeat the Cloudburst Tank.

You’ll have to find a way to stop Arkham Knight’s Cloudburst Tank if you plan to save Gotham, and your old friend Simon Stagg should have the information you need. Luckily, he’s still on the airship you mostly destroyed earlier.

Head towards the waypoint marker but be careful: the thick cloud of toxin that covers the streets is absolutely lethal, so you will have to complete the course without touching the ground. Needless to say, your Batmobile is useless here.

To enter the airship, grab onto one of the tall buildings in the area and launch yourself into the air. Then, slowly slide down, adjusting your trajectory so you can slide through the broken windows at the front of the vehicle. Once inside, immediately begin eliminating the hostiles gathered in the area. Note that there is a Brute here who is carrying a shield, so you will have to perform the Air Attack combo on Beat Down to take him down.

When the coast is clear, go up the stairs and activate your voice synthesizer. Unfortunately, Harley’s dulcet tones don’t work here. Conveniently, however, Batman has a voice sample of Stagg that he recorded earlier. So his next job is to modify the sample pitch and wave modulation until he has created a 100% match. Play with the sample until the digital noise has been removed, then confirm its accuracy to continue.

Once the sample is complete, point your speech synthesizer at the voice-activated lock to the right of the security door and pull the trigger. Go ahead and continue down the hallway, passing through the door at the end. It seems that Stagg has escaped, but you will have to eliminate the thugs in the area before you can locate him.

From your new position, activate detective mode and scan the area. You’ll see eight armed hostiles nearby, as well as two flying drones circling the room. In case you were wondering, the drones are controlled by stationary thugs to the left and right below. As you begin to devise a plan of attack, remember that you can command the thugs in the area using your voice synthesizer.

By now, you should have a firm handle on taking on these predator challenges, especially since you’ve thoroughly explored this area before. Once again, you’ll find the underground ventilation system invaluable for taking on enemies – it features plenty of access vents, making it very easy to pop in and surprise opponents from behind.

Once all the enemies are ready to count, follow the waypoint marker back to Stagg’s cell and then prepare to track him down.

Track down Simon Stagg using his fingerprint trail

Activate detective mode and locate Stagg’s handprints running across the floor. She begins to follow them down the stairs and continues forward as they move into the room. Finally, when you reach the caged monkey on the right, you’ll see movement in the vent below. Take out the grate, and once Stagg is within reach, find out everything you need to know.

Use the Nimbus Power Cell to repair the Batmobile

With the Nimbus Cell now in your possession, retrace your steps and return to the front of the ship. To avoid the flying drone in your path, activate your remote hacking device, point it at the drone and pull the trigger. You have 60 seconds to escape, so launch yourself from the side of the airship and start traveling towards the waypoint marker.

Once you’ve reached the GCPR radio tower, go down to the roof and follow the signs to repair the Batmobile. Head below the cloud cover and then carefully remove the power cell from your vehicle; It will start to rumble and squeak if you move it too fast. Counter the thug who runs to attack and then gently slide the pipe in.

When you are safely inside the Batmobile, press accelerate. Start moving through the streets and once you’ve received Ivy’s radio message, head to Miagani Island to find the second ancient tree.
